Why would my mom tell me that I'm ANOREXIC?!?!

Question: Why would my mom tell me that I'm ANOREXIC!?!!?
I am NOT, I can assure you! Let me tell you the whole story!. It was, like, a couple of days ago and it was time for dinner and I wasn't really hungry because I ate a lot when I got home from school earlier that day!. Well, she literally gave me 1/2 a lasagna and told me only to eat half of it (and it was cold too!)!. Anyway, I did that and when I said, "I'm done!." She looked at my plate and was like, "Irene finish the whole thing! OMG, you're so ANOREXIC!!" My brother told me I was too!! I AM NOT ANOREXIC!!! I don't try to make myself vomit, I eat A LOT (I've had friends point that out to me), and I barely exercise anymore now that track season's over!. (Yeah, I know I should probably exercise, but that's not the point right now)!. I'm really skinny (I've been told a lot) and I have a very fast motabolism so I can eat a lot and not really gain any weight!. Why would my mom say this to me!?! It hurt so bad; I actually HAVE a friend who's anorexic!. Help!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sweetheart, you don't sound anorexic at all, especially if you think you're "really skinny!." Believe me, it's much worse to be told by your parents that you're fat; that actually CAN lead to anorexia!. If you're not anorexic, you're not anorexic, and it doesn't matter if anyone else says so!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That was really insensitive of your mom!. I hope you can have a heart to heart with her and explain that you actually like your body and how that hurts you to have her judge you so seriously when you have a friend who is really suffering!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She's just teasing, my mom tells my sister that, it's a mom thing, when they get worried about you losing too much weight, they just say things!. And brothers, don't get me started, he just wants you to feel bad! Most brothers do!Www@Answer-Health@Com
