My resting heart rate 87bpm!?!


Question: My resting heart rate 87bpm!!?
i just measured my RESTING heart rate and it's 87bpm, i haven't drank any caffiene or done anything wierd!!!

im 18, i weigh 147, and i occasionally (2-3 times a week) lift weights, my cardio i know for a fact is pretty bad!.

what would be the best way for me to better myself!? i have the option of swimming (year round), running, annnd skippingWww@Answer-Health@Com

running would be best!. swimming does not increase stroke volume as much and skipping is hard to maintain for 30-40 minutes!.

over time your stroke volume (blood pumped per beat) will increase and beats per minute will drop!. make sure you take your HR in the morning when you are rested!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mine is around there too!.!. And by the way I'm 18, too, and I weigh 146!.!. I'm 5'11!. Anyway, I suck at running!. My mile time is 9 min and a half!. It's pathetic!. I recently haven't been working out cause of exams!. But I'm starting again on Saturday!. Swimming is good, it'll give you great lungs as well!. My heart rate was good during swimming season!.!. Anything that raises your heart rate for about 30 min or more is good!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
