Question: Ripped muscles!? Track team !.!.!.help!?
hey im on the track team and on Wensdays practice after i ran th 400 my hip muscle on the left hurt really bad!. The next day i did the same thing and my muscle hurt even more i was limping!. Do you think i ripped my muscle!.!.!.

Im a varsity soccer player at my highschool and i did about the same thing with one of my quads!. Best thing for u do is just to stay off of it and apply heat to the area that hurts!. i was out of comission for about 2weeks in my season because of it and mine was just a strained muscle!. If u ripped the muscle ur looking at being out for up to 5 weeksWww@Answer-Health@Com

I think you've just pulled your hip muscle!. I doubt that you've torn your muscle though - I've done it before for my knee and I wasn't able to walk at all!. What you've described doesn't sound so severe!. Talk to your coach, he/she should know how to deal with this kind of stuff!.

Don't train too hard for the next few weeks!. The pain could go away or it could get a LOT worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You may have just over-used it, but talk with your coach about it!. They'll be able to suggest the best streches/ workouts to deal with it!. If you had tore it, I'm sure it would be really painful and you'd know for sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
