Question: What is the quickest way to lose weight without denying the foods I love!?
Hi! Im an 18 year old female who is 5'5" and weighs 130lbs!. I recently put on this undesirable extra weight and I have decided to work hard to get back down to 115lbs, especially because of summer!. For about a month now I have been going to the gym about 5 times a week, doing about 35 min on the ellipticals, and some minor strength training(about 20 min worth)along with ab work, but I have failed to see any results!. When it comes to dieting, I am back to eating the way I used to eat(whatever I want pretty much-I grew up on fast food and I swear im addicted) because when I started dieting(i!.e!. limiting calories from about 2,000 daily to about 1200)I gained 6 lbs! Definitely not what I was expecting from eating less and healthier, other than what I really wanted to eat!. Since I stopped that diet I have lost 4 of those 6 pounds gained, and have tried slim-fast and alternate-day fasting!. Neither worked!. Someone please help me!. Whatever changes you make, make sure that they are lifestyle changes, or else the weight will come back!. You also have to decide if you want to be skinny, or healthy!. Depriving your body of the food and nutrients it needs may help you look skinny, but it may do more damage on the inside than you think!.

That being said, are you only using a scale, or do you measure inches lost as well!? Muscle weighs more than fat, so it may look as though you are gaining weight (judging by the scale only), when you are losing inches but gaining muscle!.

Also, Paul McKenna had a show on TLC called I Can Make You Thin!. He had four basic rules!. When you are hungry, eat!. Eat what you want!. Eat consciously!. When you're full, stop!. This works miracles if you can stick to it!. The main rule here is to eat consiously!. Pay attention!. Chew slowly!. Put the utensils down between bites, instead of stuffing your mouth!. You will be amazed at how much less you eat, and you won't have any cravings because you can eat what you want!. On the show they did an experiment using stale popcorn!. They stood on the street and handed out bags of stale popcorn to passers by!. Of course people did not want the popcorn because it was stale and nasty!. Then, they gave the stale popcorn to movie goers at a theater!. People sat there eating the same nasty popcorn while they watched the movie!. Many finished the bag and did not even notice that the popcorn was stale!. The point that they were trying to make is that when we are distracted (watching tv, driving, etc!.) we do not eat consciously and we tend to overeat!. I tihnk you need to work otu harder on your elliptical!. At your age, your heart rate should be up at 160 or higher, otherwise you just won't lose weight!.

I think 5' 5'' and 130 pounds is a good weight for you!. It doesn't matter if you've got a little more chubbiness than before, but you should try and eat healthier!. Fast food isn't good for you, especially with all the chemicals and preservatives that they put in the meat!. You should eat well and exercise, that's basically all there is to it!. Fast food should be eaten once in a while, not everyday!. Have some real food in your body for once!. You should never dip below 1200 calories if you want to prevent yourself from being sick!.
