Its mostly about your heart rate you should try to keep in you target heart rate!. Which is 65-80% of you max you get the max buy subtracting your age from 225!. Yours would be about 123-152!. Keep in that frame and that is your max fat burning area!. If you can try adding some weigh training to your work out!. It will help you get results faster!. I do 3 to 4 sets of 30!. In weight training that is for toning!. If you do to few in reps you will just bulk up so stick to lots of reps shorten it to 25 if 30 is to hard!. You do not have to kill yours on the amount of weight just do what you can handle!. Hope this helps good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The most effective form of exercise is the one that you enjoy, because you'll do it more often!.

Running would be a bad choice, because it'll ruin your joints!. However, bicycling will burn as much calories as running, and doesn't harm joints!. Anything other than walking, running and biking tends to be too exotic for day-to-day use!. Swimming burns a lot, but you'd need a 25M pool!. Rock climbing burns the most calories per hour, but you'd need to live near a rock-climbing gym and not make mistakes with the belaying system (ropes)!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think, you do too much of the one thing- Mix It Up!.
Don't forget you have a limit that varies from person to person!. you will benifit up to a certain point and only at a certain rate!. Beyond that your benefit is minimized!.

I might think about the following for a starting point ( weekly routine) : !.!.!.
Do a 1 1/2 mile AM walk - then hit the gym for an hour ( cycle)!.
Do an afternoon 1 1/2 mile walk then hit the gym for an hour(stepper)
Do an evening workout at the gym for 2 hours!. ( weights)

Do this for about 3 days a week, allow your body to recover on the other days!.!.!.have at least one day off between workout days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well ma'am, the first thing my Staff Sargent told me was that walking wasn't going to take me NO where--especially if you do it for a long time over and extended period!. You're body has memory, therefore you end up in a plateau effect!. You want to start warming up to jogging then start running!. Remember, you always need to incline the workout stress that's happening to your body--meaning more sweat, dedication and the rib of your legs!. ((you don't always really need to do "5 miles a day"!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on how you walk!. You need to walk fast and with a good posture!. 5 miles is quite a lot to do every day - you wil get bored after a while!. Try doing 5 miles 3 times per week and make sure they are a good five miles - ie brisk walking, tummy in, shoulders back!. Posture really makes a difference when you are exercising!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Very effective, if done consistantly, with proper form and at a brisk pace, but more effective when combined with other forms of exercise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It SUCKS

There has been a woman walking in my neighborhood for years almost everyday 60 minutes and she looks the same

You should liftWww@Answer-Health@Com

Depends how long it takes to walk 5 miles!. A liesurely stroll is not a powerwalk Calorie burn values will be different!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Walking is a great way to lose weight!. Just be sure to change your route so your body don't get use to doing the same thing every dayWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes this will help you lose some weight but I would say 80% of losing weight is a healthy diet with lean meats, fruits and vegetablesWww@Answer-Health@Com

It will probably take a few weeks for you to really see results!. I'd recommend that you add ankle & wrist weights to speed up toning!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
