Question:

I really want to eat something...?

I'm trying to lose weight over the summer. I've eaten so much junk today it's unbelievable...
anybody help with how to combat cravings?
I'm not like fat, (5 foot 5, 8 or 9 stone) but I'm big and I want to lose a bit, so I'm not going for starving, just cutting out junk food.
Please help!! Even just telling me something interesting to distract me would help =]

Answers:

Fruit and fruit juice works ofr me. I'm 6'1" and 180 lbs, not skinny but certainly not fat. I changed my eating habits when I was 45 and 240 lbs. I'm 60 now and it seems to be working. Just make sure you don't go overboard. Eat a balanced diet, you do need meat and carbs for long and short term energy, and an occasional sweet treat won't hurt you.

Also watch your salt intake, as that tends to make you retain water.

And as others have said, drink lots of water to help you metabolize the food you eat.
