How do I get back in shape?!


Question: How do I get back in shape!?
I'm 40 years old and have some extra weight that I could loose!. I used to be fit but that was high school!. I had a good habit of eating right and exercise but now I am dealing with the weight I gained when my wife was pregnant (all six times!. once with twins!.)
I'm trying to get back in shape but I tend to resort back to my bad habits!. I drink soda and love chocolate!. I would love to have a six pack and not the soda in the fridge!. Are there any websites that can teach me how to eat right and how to get back into a good workout routine that doesn't take long!. I work a lot and have little time to work out!. You're on the right track when you admit that you now have bad habits that needs to be addressed!.

Maintaining your high school frame will be difficult at best since you have acquired some bad habits along the way!. And, since you were married, you cannot afford to offend your wife by not eating the meals she cooks for you and your kids!.

So try eating fruits for breakfast with lots of juice!. Bananas can help make you feel full!. You're next big meal should be your lunch!. Actually sodas and chocolates contain sugar which are easily absorbed by the body!. Try substituting iced cold mineral water!. It may not taste as good but is as refreshing!. Abstain from too many starch too!. Bread, rice and other carbohydrates causes bulk too!.

When getting to work, try parking at the farthest end of the lot and walk your way in!. Take the stairs instead of the elevator!. Do the same on your return trip!. The effort helps in burning up excess calories and therefore will use up your reserve fats in the body!. You may feel weak at first, but you will eventually feel better and, if possible, lengthen the distance or the flights of stairs you have to travel!.

I have an officemate that would come in at 7 a!.m!. and walk the 10 floors up to our office!. Now he does 15 floors to the top of the building and walk back down to the tenth floor!. He lost 20 pounds in two months and another 60 pounds in the succeeding months!. After climbing up and down the stairs, he takes at least two quarts of water after eating slowly two pieces of apple, one orange and a banana!. Every hour after that until 10 a!.m!., he would consume one to two bananas!.

His lunch starts with one glass of water, a slice of pineapple or any available fruit, a salad, then a sandwich with lots of lettuce and tomatoes and a thin slice of meat (usually turkey which has the least colesterol)!.

You need discipline if you want to seriously lose weight!. The walk and the stairs climbing does not have to be brisk, you can do it slowly at first!. Climb up to the floor that you will first be able to do without breaking up a sweat and lose your breath!. After a couple of weeks add the number of flights of stairs!.

I'm also 40 now!.!.!.!.after 40 your metabolism drops off and you gain weight easier, plus its alot harder to get back in shape once you've lost it, especially at 40!.!.!.!.trust me, I know!! I'd say the only 6-pack your likely to see will be in the fridge!.!.!.!.!.!.!.sorry!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!.!.!. no websites!. I suggest taking a sport!.!. I know your 40 and you cant do things like basketball but there's a great one for so much exercise you feel like puking after your done!. And you can do it at any age!. Martial Arts!. If your there soley for the exercise I would suggest Taekwondo!.!.!. it's not the best fighting self-defense but it's one of the best ones to get you back in shape!. You do a little bit of everything!.!.!. circuit training, running, sparring(very tiring), weight training, lots of pushups and situps and stuff like that, and you gain flexibility with the added bonus of being able to defend yourself!. The classes are usually at night I take one from 7:00-9:00!. So there's just an idea!. Oh, and by the way dont drink soda if you want to lose weight!. It's absolutely the worst!. Try looking at the amount of calories in a coke!.!.!. it's horrible stuff I would crack that habit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i hear ya, im only 14!. but do what i do!. do some situps at night after work or after dinner or even b4 bed, just 50 a night will help!. if u can do 100 thats great!. u reallycould drink soda once in a while!. (once a week twice if u have to) and have ur chocolate on a saturday or ur fav day of the week!. chocolates not that bad for u actually!. it unclogs ur arteries from fat!. try to drink a glass of wine with certain dinners, like pasta which makes u burn calories easier!. maybe go for a 5-10 min walk or jog if u worried about weight!. its all about feeling good!. not looking good, also try stretching ur legs and arms every dayWww@Answer-Health@Com
