And also, I know you have to let your body rest but is it ok to workout while your body is still sore? Will it stretch your muscles more or will it give me a faster chance of increasing muscle mass?
Answers:
Heavy weights with low reps will build muscle while light weights with more reps will help with muscle toning and endurance. In all cases, you have to stress the muscle a bit to get work out of it. So a little soreness is expected, but you should not work the same set of muscle groups two days in a roll. For example, if you work legs one day, do chest and arms the next day. If you do a full body work out, then do a day of cardio inbetween.
