Depends, on when the person goes to sleep and also on there individual related factors and habits!.
Must not eat few hours before bed time, 2 hours is good but 3 hours will be even batter!.
In most case 2 hours (minimum) that puts it at 8:00 pm!. for most of us, who go to bed at 10:00 pm!.
One must relax after eating, by taking a slow walk for 15 minutes to half an hour!. This helps the digestion!. so the food can settle down in the stomach and do not stay in the food pipe, two hour is a good time for food to get processed in the stomach, with the digestive juices that it provides!.
When one goes to sleep the digestive system goes in to high gear!. So food is ready for further processing in the other parts of the system!.
This is very true as the person get older, the valves that keep active gasses and active ingredient in its proper place can start getting week as the person gets older, so by doing this thing one can avoid gastric problem such as heart burn!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well many say 9pm!.
Reason being is that when you wake up you'll have a nasty feeling in your stomach, also this will gain you more weight since you won't eat breakfast since you'll be full!. If you do not eat breakfast your metabolism will slow down and you won't be going to the toilet!.
My measurement is ruffly 9PM I try earlier, The earlier you go the better you feel when you wake up!
It can also be bad since you won't go to sleep, your body will be digesting so you won't be feeling pleasant and then you will be getting stomach aches or even worse, CRAMPS!

that usually applies because most people aren't active much after 8pm and some even go to sleep around that time, so all of those calories and carbs are just being stored and creating fat!. although if you go to the gym after 8pm or are doing something else that's active and requires energy then its fine to eat after 8pm!. it just depends on the persons scheduleWww@Answer-Health@Com

i think it is because by then you should be gettin ready for bed & the food can't digest properly before you go to bed
