Treatment of horrible horrible shin splints?! quickk question. please help.. (ea!

Question: Treatment of horrible horrible shin splints!?! quickk question!. please help!.!. (easy 10 points_!?
so before i started to run today i had a sharp piercing pain in my top front thigh on my left leg!. i really needed to run though, because i have 5 days until vacation!. i can miss one day these next 5 days!.

so i pushed through the pain, and it honestly only hurt (not even that badly) for the first mile, then i forgot about it!. and i ran 2!.8 miles straight, and i walked !.4 of a mile after that!.

and then when i stopped running i noticed this EXTREME extreme bad pain in my shin!. its my left leg, on the front of my lower leg (shin area) and more to the right of the shin also!. and i looked it up and i am 97% sure it is anterolateral shin splint!.

so i took three advils, i have it elevated and i wrapped an ice pack around it!.
is there anything else i can do to help relieve the pain and stuff so i can run tomorrow!?
THANK YOU (:

oh im 17, 5'5'', and 125 pdsWww@Answer-Health@Com

There is no cure for shin splints the only thing you can do is keep it elavated stay off it and keep the ice on and you need to do 15 mins ice then 5 mins hot hot hot wash cloth it helps relieve the pain fast and it helps to heal it faster i had the same problem and thats all i did i ran track cross country and played soccer and had so much running also and thats all you can do =( and that is from doctors coaches and trainers =( so good luck with the shin but there is nothing you can do to run tommarow it will take a minimum of 3-5 days to make the shin splint go awayWww@Answer-Health@Com

I occasionally get these shin splints you may have a sodium deficiency, or that's what i was told!. When you exercise you may have low sodium levels!. Otherwise it may just be your body growing if you are worried talk to your doctor they may recommend something!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to give it a rest!. That includes not running as far, not running as hard and not running every day!.!.!.!.!.That will work wonders on shin splints!.!.!.I would also check my equipment, like a good pair of inserts and most crucial a good pair of running shoes!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try rolling up a towl, then rolling the arch of your foot arcoss it

hope you feel betterWww@Answer-Health@Com
