Question: What do the americans do if they cant affoed insurance, to see a doctor!?
It seems really unfair to me, that if you dont have the money, you dont get healthcare!.
I am from the UK, and thank god for the NHS!.

They can go to free clinics, wait for hours in a dirty hosipital and get treated by Doctors who can't get a job anywhere decent!. Other than that, they can petition insurance companies to give them free health care on this one off occasion (bloody unlikely)
They can contact local gizillionnaires and charities and ask for financial support!.
OR they could just die in agony!.

Actually in America you cannot be denied treatment at a hospital!. The problem with the health care system is that those who do not have insurance receive very little treatment!. Just enough is done that will temporarily alleviate the symptoms, and then you are sent home with a prescription that you cannot afford, your medical bills are out of this world, and your failure to pay them are placed on your credit report, making it difficult to do anything else, and you continue to be sick and get worse!. Those who are too poor for medical insurance receive poor medical treatment!. They are normally seen by interns who are just learning the job for approximately five minutes, and the seasoned doctors deal with the paying customers!. It is a shame, and we know this here in America!. But those that have could care less about those who don't have!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
There is nothing they can do!. There are some county services that cover doctor visits but only a limited number of people are accepted to those and the care is poor, you can only see the doctor they send you to who is usually not good at his job and you have to wait months to get an appointment!. But if you have a major medical issue or are in an accident where you have to go to the hospital you pretty much go into debt and have to file bankruptcy!. This has happened to many people that I know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
What happens in the UK if you need surgery and are told theres a 9 month wait!? What happens when your dog gets better health care than you because vets get paid better than the goverment worker physicians!? Everyone has an otion of getting health insurance in the US!. If you choose to work at a place that doesnt offer health care (most do) you can purchase it!. If you are indigent the government supplies you with medicaid!. If you are an illegal immigrant you are still taken care of at hospitals who are not allowed to refuse treatmentWww@Answer-Health@Com
doctors cannot deny you care!.!.!. but they can deny you quality care!. My dad was 30 days shy of his medicare kicking in when he was diagnosed with Lung Cancer!.!.!. they treated him!.!.!. but it wasnt quality treatment!. He died less than 90 days after being diagnosed!.
In 30 days his bills were roughly 70k!.!.!. one doctor even suggested waiting until medicare kicked in because without insurance he would be the lowest of priority and would have to wait 3 weeks regardless of how critical his medical condition was!.!.!. we opted to pay out of pocket!.!. and even then they scrutinized everything and we still got substandard care!.!.!. this knowing he would be fulling insured in less than 30 days!.

There are FREE CLINICS in US where such people can go!. Often Charity organizations are there to help or people can go to County Hospital!.
If there is an emergency, Hospitals by law CANNOT refuse treatment, so they can go to any hospital!.
As for hospital bill, hospital negotiate the amount to be paid and if they cannot pay anything, then they just write it off and hospitals use it to get Tax breaks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was lucky to get Pregnancy-Medicaid that covered 100% of my delivery!.
Otherwise, I never go to the doctor!. I DO have health insurance for my son!.!.!. cause he is more important!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is a 'social medicine' system available, though it is far from comprehensive!. Many doctors do this part time, often for little or no pay!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
