Am I not getting enough nutrition?!

Question: Am I not getting enough nutrition!?
Hi everyone! :D

Well, I'll start out saying that I am a pickey eater!. I work at a gym,and I am the one who makes the smoothies and protein shakes, etc!. I work there sometimes anywhere from 6-10 hours Monday-Friday and on Saturdays I work 5 hours!.
I don't have a lunch break, so I eat whatever is there, normally I have a protein shake(2 scoops of muscle milk or procomplex protein, 10-12 oz of juice, and a serving size of fruit) or a regular smoothie( juice, fruit, frozen sorbet or non-fat frozen yogurt) or either a protein bar or a granola bar!.

Here's an idea of a daily eating schedule:
morning: an energy drink
afternoon:a protein shake
night time: protein shake and a protein bar

Is that really unhealthy!? I'm a vegetarian if that makes any difference!.

I weigh 130lbs(9 stones 4lbs) and I am 5'3-4"Www@Answer-Health@Com

A little unhealthy imo!.

If you look in to the trouble they have had with feeding people with feeding tubes where they tried to put in a mix that was the best for them, they still would decline and some died as a result!.

Our bodies do naturally many things that we are not able to do with our chemistry!.

I did nutritional analysis for a company for 5 years!. So I have a little problem with those wanting to be "Vegans"!. That is real unhealthy to have no meat protein!.

It takes 13 amino acids to make a single human protein but plant protein only contains 11 of them!. BUT you only need very little of the other two!.

The western diet is way too heavy in meats and fats!. A half a cup of milk a day will provide all those other two amino acids you need!. So you are much better if you are using the yogurt!.

But fiber (real 'food" lol) has another function!. It slows digestion so you digest over time!. That makes your insulin more level!. Insulin is what digests sugar and helps convert the carbs to sugar!.

The stuff you are consuming has a high glycemic index which means you are spiking your insulin!. That might make you feel good and give you fast energy but once the insulin consumes the sugar you are then left with excess insulin, low blood sugar, and you crash!.

In a way, imo, you are using your suppliments like a drug causing highs and lows!.

You are probably not too bad nutritionally with the yogurt, depending on what else in in those drinks!. But large insulin swings can mess with your head, attitudes, and energy levels!. It can change how you "feel"!.

I hope you are taking a basic vitamin, too, for the trace minerals you might be missing, like iodine, zinc, chromium, or potassium!.

I'm by no means an expert!. For your height, your at a really good weight!. So thats fine!.

But I'm not sure your getting all the nutrients you need!. I realize your a vegetarian, but I would check with a doctor or a nutritionist about how you can aqquire these vitamins, and still have it work with your schedule!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need at least one meal of solid food!.!.!. Meaning, the biggest concern I would have for you would be not getting enough fiber!.!.

Fiber is very important not only because it helps with moving food thru your intestines, but also because it slows digestion and improves vitamin absorption!.!.!.!.

Good Luck and I Hope this Helps!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm a vegetarian too and you are not eating enough to keep a bird healthy!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
