Alex is right - it is based on genetics, not how much exercising you do or calcium you take.

Now, if you have a bad diet (improper nutrition), slouch, get little sleep - those could potentially make you just a smidge shorter than you would otherwise be, but we're talking by maybe 1/4-1/2 inch.

Your height is going to be based on how tall your parents are though.

A simple way to have an idea:

If both parents are tall (about 5'8" or taller), then you will most likely also be tall.

If both parents are short (about 5'4" or shorter), then you will be short.

If both parents are medium (between about 5'5"-5'8"), then you have a 25% chance of being tall, a 25% chance of being short, and a 50% chance of being medium.
