Question: Do carbs really make you put on weight!?
I admit, I like to eat white bread, pasta and potatoes from time to time!. I don't eat them everyday, i have a portion of one once-twice a week if that!. I would like to eat more, but the thing that scares me is all this 'carb hype' how people claim eating bread is bad, carbs will pile the weight on!.!.etc!. It's quite funny when I'm at the dinner table and we're having a nice starter accompanied by bread, and the person opposite refuses to take a piece!.!.everytime like she's scared of carbs!, I mean!.!.they're not that bad right!? they're healthier to eat than sweets, and form a balanced diet!.!.so what's the deal people!? It also gets on my nerves when a store bought pasta salad from the healthy range, emblazes 'perfect comfort food' on the front, something which entirely defeats the purpose, and gives it connotations of it being 'bad' for us!. Comfort food!? yeah right!.!.ice cream!.!.bacon butties!.!.!.THEY are comfort foods! the public are scrutinized for eating a bowl of pasta now!.!.whatever next!?!?!?!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no they don't, if you exercise!. I eat at least 50 percent carbs, but I enjoy vigous exercise!. Alot of European countries eat mostly a diet largely composed of carbs and are slim!. I am 5'6 and weigh 98 lbs!. It's all about listening to your body, when your hungry eat, have a healthy attitiude towards food and enjoy an active life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Carbs don't make you put on weight, overeating does!. Carbs should comprise 50-60% of your diet!. Especially if the food they are in contains fiber and not too much fat!.

You have to overeat carbs quite a lot to gain weight from them as they are not stored in an energy efficient way, like fat is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Carbs give you energy!. If you are exercising or pretty active then the carbs are actually good for you!. Try eating your carbs and watching stuff like the butter or alfredo you put on them instead!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just like everything else they are ok in proportions!! I eat carbs, and diet!.!.!. and I have lost all the weight I've wanted to, while still getting my carb fix lol!Www@Answer-Health@Com
