How can I say "no" to desserts? (see details)?!

Question: How can I say "no" to desserts!? (see details)!?
When I'm motivated about being healthier/losing weight, I tell myself that I will stop having desserts (I don't have them too often, anyway, but lately it seems like they keep showing up at parties and such that I attend!.!.!.!.)!. But then, when a dessert is in front of me, or someone offers some to me, I can't help but have some!. It's so tempting because my friends are often eating cookies at lunch (sold in the caf itself), my class will have cake around, or my sister will decide to whip up some delicious-smelling baked goods on some random night!. Since I'm so tempted, I just go with it, but then I feel really guilty later!. I can never seem to stick to my "no dessert" diet though!. Any help!? :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Well, there are a couple of solutions!.!.!.

1) As mentioned earlier, picture it as a disgusting food!. Simple, but don;t be tempted if that isn't enough!.
2) Eat a small portion but don't overdo it!. This was mentioned also!. Just take slow bites to make the taste last longer!.
3) Eat it!. If you know that you can use exercise to burn it off later, then go ahead and eat it!.
4) Eat a fruit or vegetable to fill you up!. Even drinking a glass or two of water can fill you up!.
5) Just walk away from it!. It may be hard, but just picture yourself as a huge person and think that your mental image could be you if you eat it!. Think that if you decide not to eat it, you could be the same way you are!.

If it is a special occasion (family gathering, hanging out with friends, birthday, holiday, etc!.) then go ahead and eat it since the opportunity only comes now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

force the words, no thanks im trying to lose weight or something strong to come out of your mouth!. after you say that, theres no turning back and you feel kind of proud, which makes you feel like not eating it!. also, in your mind just keep a) imagining fat jiggling
b) saying NO!!
c) am i really that weak and pathetic!?
or whatever measures, desperate or light that you need to push yourself past it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have to feel the feeling you will feel 1 minute after you eat the dessert before you eat it!.!.!.!.you have to also feel the euphoria you will feel when you see others eating the dessert and you said no!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know what you mean!. I'm the same!. Just imagine that you'll be suffering when you ant to burn off those calories! Ouch! It helps! Trust me on this one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have the same problem!! I have discovered that if there is a package of Oreos lying around, I'll have no problem polishing off the whole bag!. So, I've replaced all of the things that are so tempting with things that are still tasty and satisfying and have a lot less calories, and are packaged/marketed for this very thing!. Try packing a nonfat Jello pudding cup into your handbag, or one of the many varieties of 100-calorie snack packs!. Then, when someone offers you a treat you can have one of your own!

But also, studies show that if you tell yourself you aren't allowed to have something, your body will crave only that forbidden food!. It's psychological, so just tell yourself that you are allowed a treat every once in awhile and then your subconscious will try to stop sneaking around on you!! I hope this was helpful!Www@Answer-Health@Com
