About Calories?!

Question: About Calories!?
I recently figured out my BMI (Body Mass Index) over the net and it gave me a calorie range per day to follow!. Now Most days I am under that range!. Is that a good thing or a bad thing!. Should I add more calories to my diet!? Or will I lose the weight if I am under the amount that they suggested for me!?

ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

You should be over 1300 net calories a day (woman) or 1700 net calories a day (man)!. As long as you are over that guideline, you should lose weight!. When you stop losing weight, you are at your ideal weight!.

Calories are important to follow to lose or maintain weight without gaining but just as important as the calories you eat is where you are getting the calories from!. If you calorie range is 1200 but you are eating 900 in fat and sugar then your not doing yourself any favors and will not lose weight!. If at 1200 range you are eating 1300 but it is good fat, veggies, fruit and fiber then you are ok and will still lose weight just not as quickly!. Also it really depends on if you are exercising!. If you are stay at or a little under your calorie allowance but you are not exercising then you will still lose weight but very slowly!. So in that regard it is best to stay under you calorie allowance!. If you are exercise moderately then staying right at your calorie allowance will help you achieve the best results!. Make sure you keep track of your changing calorie allowance!. As you start to lose weight you will need less calories till you get to your healthy weight and calorie intake!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

How much under!? Estimating calorie needs and expenditure is an inexact science so there is a wide range!.

If you are going hungry you probably need an occasional snack to bring your level up!. Go too low and you run into an assortment of problems like slow metabolism, muscle breakdown, fatigue etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will probably loose weight, but you would have to be significantly under the calorie range!. Obviously its not healthy to starve your body, if that's what you were thinking!. Sometimes its best to do what your body tells you!. If you aren't hungry, then don't eat!. If you are, then eat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if your only a little bit under, then thats actually good but if your like 100 calories under then just have a lollipop or whatever!. if you loose weight then what you need to do is eat more because your looking calories but you need to eat healthier!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should talk to your doctor, your BMI is not the only way to judge your weight or health!. If your really trying to loose weight make a long term plan that involves exercise and healthy foods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

all things being equal, the less calories you eat the more weight you will lose!. Now if you are happy with the weight you are at then calories should not matter at all!. Just eat healthy and get all your nutrients!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Personaly i think that these weght lss programs are a waste of time!. all you need to do is develope willpower and dont keep anything in your house that could tempt you into eating to much of bad food!. do your researchWww@Answer-Health@Com

If the calories are just a little bit under then you wont lose alot of weight!. It depends on who much you are not consuming!. But in my opinion you should stick with how much it says to consume :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could lose some weight, but if you are too much under, you will gain weight!. Your body will preserve calories because it will think it is being starved!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

don't go too under that range but you don't have to gane that much!.But add some caloriesWww@Answer-Health@Com
