Answers:
EDIT: Activities that burn little calories are sitting around, reading, and being overall sedentary!. Exercise (of any type) on the other hand will always burn extra calories!.

To burn very very little calories, you'd have to give up your active lifestyle--which is a REALLY REALLY bad idea! Exercise burns calories but it is great for your health, keep doing it! Although I don't think it has anything to do with your thyroid (hyperthyroidism is rare), I do agree with the first answerer, even when the body is at rest it will burn calories!.

Instead of trying "not to burn too many calories", increase your caloric (energy) intake and eat lots of healthy, concentrated sources of calories!. Eat more than you burn and you WILL gain weight!. Examples of high-calorie foods are dried fruit (raisins, dried cranberries, etc!.), nuts, peanut butter, and use a lot of (olive) oil when cooking and for your recipes!. Drink fruit juices and full-fat milk too!. Maybe try eating large bowls of whole-grain pasta and whole-grain bagels if you don't see results in, say, a month or two!. This is a very healthy way to gain weight without eating junk food (terrible and absolutely unnecessary for your body!)!.

Speak with your nutritionist first, though!. Chances are that you may only need to gain a few pounds!. He or she can assess how much weight you need and give you an adequate diet to achieve a more appropriate weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

even when the body is at rest it burns calories!. It's called Basal Metabolism & it uses the most calories!.
Genetics my friend plays a big part in weight!.

If you are really concerned I suggest getting your TSH checked!. Thyroid Stimulating Hormone! simple blood test that will show if have an over active thyroid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
