Question: Hey I want to try the sea salt flush thing Do you go on a fast when you do it!?
Okay I wanted to try the sea salt flush[/cleanse] this coming weekend but I didn't know-are you supposed to fast the day that you do it!? [fast=no eat]

And how long should you do the sea salt at a time-like a few times a month or once every day for a week-would that be safe!?

thanks ^+^Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I have researched the salt water flush and tried it myself several times!. It is well known as an effective way in cleansing the entire digestive tract!. I have had colonics and still make use of enemas!. The salt flush in my opinion is a safer and more effective method for long term use in maintaining a healthy digestive tract!. Colonics are great initially in removing years of built up rubbish and hardened faecal matter in the large intestine (colon)!. I had 12 in total at 32yrs (1 a day for 6 days!. A break and then repeated!.) Now I find occassional enemas useful if eating solids (only does large intestine)!. However when juice fasting and doing juice cleanses I feel the salt water flush is able to do its' cleanse more efficiently and don't feel it may be sitting on top of food/faeces that have not yet been passed!. I had to have more than a teaspoon for the salt flush to work for me!. I also used sun dried sea salt which is much better (e!.g!. Atlantic sea salt)!. To get a thorough cleansing I sometimes do the cleanse twice in a row!. Bowels work in about 30min or under then for me!. Another useful tool I have found during detox periods (or for anyone who sometimes feels they need the loo but can't go) when toxins gather in the rectum (after which if not removed can recirculate in the system causing itching, irritability, etc!. "autointoxication") is using a 100ml plastic syringe!. You can fill this several times with water!. Squeezing lemon juice in helps clean and gives more of a release!. Most of the time I just use water though and one could also use salt!. Lubricating the entrance with some coconut butter or jojoba oil makes the syringe glide in nicely!. You can get these syringes from hydroponic companies for about 0!.50p to a
