Leotard and tights or unitard for yoga classes ?!

Question: Leotard and tights or unitard for yoga classes !?
Answers:
Probably the first thing that you would want to do is check to see if there is a dress code for the class!. I know that some classes (not necessarily yoga) that I have gone to have required that I wear a leotard and tights or something specific like that!. Secondly, I would maybe cruise by the class on a day you aren't attending to see what the others are wearing (if your class is a mon/weds class, stop by the tues/thurs class or something)!.

As far as comfort, I actually think that leotards and tights are very comfortable, provided that you actually buy the right size and cut for your body!. Most girls don't understand that concept and end up hating leotards and tights!. Anyhow, that might just be my personal preference!. With yoga, there is quite a bit of movement and holding, unlike traditional cardio classes where you are constantly moving!. The reason that I mention this is because with constant movement, something more loose like a t-shirt and shorts bounces back into place with every movement!. With yoga, if you stretch a certain way and your t-shirt or shorts pull up or down exposing a little more than you are comfortable with, it becomes a little awkward holding that position when you want to pull you shirt/shorts back up or down!. The main attraction to a leotard and tights (or unitard I guess, although they aren't my personal preference) is that they don't have a mind of their own with regard to where they are going to go when you stretch and hold!. I like to know that nothing is going to pop out or that my underwear isn't going to show when I lean forward and my t-shirt pulls up or something!.

So, it really comes down to two things for me, comfort and reliability!. Both t-shirt/shorts and leotard/tights are comfortable in my opinion, but only one is reliable with regard to coverage during every movement!. While reliability isn't huge for every type of class, a class where you are stretching and holding with the goal of freeing your mind from stupid stuff (like "is my underwear showing") is where reliability is huge for me!. If you are uncomfortable with people seeing your body in a leotard and tights, you can always wear a t-shirt over it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wear a babydoll t and cheer shorts (sometimes jogging shorts) personally!. I think both tights and unitards are ridiculously uncomfortable!. Leotards are okay, but with my hatred of tights, it's a no go!.

Out of your choices though, I'd go with a leo and tights over a uni!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree with Eve--your 2 choices are uncomfortable to work out in, especially with all the stretching that yoga involves!.!.also it'll make you sweat more!. Something comfy is best, I usually just wear a tank and shorts--it's comfy and there isn't anything restricting your movement!. Hope this helps! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
