Knuckle push ups hurt my knuckles, how do I do it then?!


Question: Knuckle push ups hurt my knuckles, how do I do it then!?
My friend suggested that I do knuckle pushups to toughen up my hands, i know its supposed to work but when I tried it hurt too much for me to do one!. right now as im typing this my knuckles are really red!. What do I do to improve my knuckle pushups!? am i supposed to start off doing them on the bed!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try using an exersize mat or other resilient protective surface!. Your knuckles have very little flesh over the bones, so putting that much pressure on that small amount of flesh is bound to damage it to some degree!. Basically, put some padding under your knuckles to protect the flesh!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Keep doing them on the floor but get something soft to put your knuckles on , such as a thin pillow , a yoga mat or a abs mat , this will help and the discomfort you feel now will eventually go away as you get stronger!. Just keep practicing and doing the best you can , give yourself some time to rest as well because you need to give your muscles time to recover from exercise otherwise they might start breaking down tissue!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its gonna hurt to start off with!. make sure your using the right knuckles to do the pushups on, its like with a proper punch, use the knuckles of your index and middle finger, doing it on any other knuckles could break your hand so put most of your weight on your first two knuckles!. Try starting out just holding yourself there for awhile instead of actually doing pushups!. get used to the feeling first then get to where you can do pushups!. Hope i helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well!.!.!. I did them at first and they somewhat hurt!. But they didn't really turn red!.

If it hurts you then you shouldn't do them!.

Basically, if you're putting the weight on just your knuckles then they will hurt!. You have to spread the weight to your fingers as well, the tops of them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Before I worry too much more about how to ease into knuckle-push ups, I would ask myself whether I really want to lead the type of life where knuckle-push ups are going to help me become better prepared for that life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

start off on something that can cushion your knuckes first!.
then comes bandages around your knuckles!.
take the cushions out

it all takes time to get your body use to the feeling!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

take 2 weights or bars that are elevated about an inch and grab on to them like if you were to do a knuckle pushup!. it works the same!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do pushups on thick cardboard for a while until your knuckles toughen up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try not doing that !.!.!.if your smart youll listen to your body when it tells you what you shouldnt be doing!.use palms of hands like everyone eles!Www@Answer-Health@Com

can you put some kind of sports bandage over them!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
