What i know is, if done correctly it works!. It improves your posture and muscle firmness, but your muscles develop a little more elongated than when doing weight resistance, for example!.
I do triathlons, and one of my training buddies hit a plateau!. She could not lose the last 10lb (she has to be at her lowest weight since she suffers from knee problems), even by jogging 5 miles and cycling 8 miles a day, so she tried yoga!. It did work!.
Yoga is not just for conditioning, but it also improves your sleep pattern and your ability to focus and deal with stress!.

Yoga is great for strengthening the core!. A lot of stars find this a very important thing to do for keeping in shape!. I love jsut doing yoga at home, but I'm sure there's a gym near you to do it at and maybe meet some new friends!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
