Whats the best kind of milk to drink?!


Question: Whats the best kind of milk to drink!?
And whats the difference between the milks!?

I am starting to eat healthy and I would like to know what milk I should be drinking, also how many calories should I eat a day!. I am a 26y/o female!.

the best kind of milk to drink is no milk!. The governent has recieved money from the cattle (beef and milk) companie for decades!. All those Got Milk!? commercials and such are propaganda to fuel thier business!. The Standard American Diet is so full of protien that in reality the addition of milk actually leeches calcuim from our bones instead of replenishing it!. In reality all you need is plenty of dark leafy green like fresh spinach and kale to get all the calcium you need!. And it has the added benefit of fiber!. They say Oh, you need vitamin D, but guess what, you make vitamin D naturally by being in the sun!. SO, I suggest, if you want to drink milk, drink soy or my favorite almond milk!. It is a much healthier fat (omega) and it tastes so yummy! I would never be able to live without my milk and cereal so that is my altrnative and you really cant tell al difference!. Then I replace iceburg lettuce which has little to no nutritional value with baby spinach, like in salads or on a hamburger and it actually tastes really good and makes you feel all smart and good about yourself because you are doing good things for yourself that most people wont get!. Im kind of an elitist and I like being the only one to have something, I like to start fad and be one step ahead, and this healthy understanding of how food works in our bodies makes me feel like I know what I am doing when others dont!. Ha! and now so do you! Your calorie intake depends on your age, height, weight, and level of activity!. Soy milk

It has calcium, it's high in protein because it is made from beans, and it also contains considerably more fiber than cow's milk!. Besides the extra protein and fiber, the biggest benefit in soy milk are the isoflavones!. Isoflavones are connected to a whole host of health issues, with the most prevant being the prevention of many cancers, heart disease, osteoporosis and more!

Soy milk has LESS fat, cholesterol and calories than 1% milk
MORE fiber than 1% milk
Not to mention!.!.!. naturally occurring omega-3s and extra antioxidant power1
"real" milk is actually not really good for you

I only drink the brand Silk!. Well, don't often drink it plain,but it's what I put in my cereal or lattes!. I find a pretty big difference between the regular one (which is kinda sweet) and the unsweetened!. They have chocolate and vanilla flavors too!.

As far as calories!.!.!.there is no CERTAIN number of calories you should eat!. However if your also trying to loose weight, you need to calculate your BMR (basal metabolic rate)!.

Skim is the "best" you can drink!. I put best in quotes because milk isn't needed and it's not all that great for you!. Calcium from fortified OJ does more for you than a glass of milk as calcium is best absorbed with something acidic!.

Skim milk is about 80 calories per serving and fat free, 1% is 1% milkfat and usually around 100 cal/serving, and it continues to go up!. Whole milk is 3% milkfat!.

As far as how much you should be eating each day, well this depends on your current weight and activity level!. At a bare minimum you should be eating 1200 calories per day!. Any less than that will put you into starvation mode and your body will cling to every pound and calorie it has!.

If you are looking to lose weight and learn good lifestyle habits, I highly recommend Weight Watcher's CORE (NOT FLEX) as you will learn great lifelong habits, learn that healthy eating can be delicious (google "Weight Watchers CORE recipes", trust me on this), and you will lose weight if that's your goal (you can use WW to maintain as well, it shows you how to balance healthy eating, enjoying yourself, and watching your weight)!. While I don't use the program myself (I know enough about health/exercise/nutrition that I don't need WW), I have recommended and watched it work wonders for dozens of people!.

You also need to be doing some kind of exercise, even if it's only 30 minutes per day of walking!. 60 minutes of running/jogging/walking (in intervals, I like to do 10, 5, 5 and repeat until I've been at it for an hour but if you're just beginning try 5, 10, 5)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The difference between milk is the fat content!. It you are looking for a low-fat option choose 1% milk!. If you are looking for fat-free choose skim milk!.

The calories you should be consuming each day is based on many factors including, age, sex, height, current weight and physical activity level!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1% is good! Your body needs some fat!. About 40grams a day!. 2500-3500 calories is good depending on active level and body type!. I eat about 3000-4000 a day, but I'm farly active!.
