Many exercises have a secondary effect on other body parts!. For example, depending on how wide your grip is, a barbell press can work both the pectorials and the biceps (wider grip) or triceps (narrow grip)!.

I often feel it in my triceps when I do a cable pullover (for back muscles)!.

Particularly with multi-joint exercises (were multiple joints are involved in the movement), you may feel it in areas that you didn't think you were working!. You may not have felt it in your biceps before because the weight wasn't high enough to challenge that muscle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

In almost every upper body exercise the biceps & triceps are used!. That is why ,as you probably know, it is best to leave arms to the end of your torso workout!. Whilst in this occasion you did not exercise your biceps they were nevertheless working hard, especially as you were lifting heavier weights than usual!. It is good pratice to always exercise the opposing muscle in the same session!. By that I mean ,if you exercise your bicep, then also exercise your tricep immediately aftewards, chest-then-back, quardriceps-then-hamstrings, & so on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Because your biceps and triceps work (brainfreeze, cant think of technical word, but!.!.) together, but in opposite directions, so for triceps work, your also working out your biceps, especially if you're using heavier weights and your biceps is having to put more effect in trying to stabilise your arm whilst you triceps is doing it's thing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes this is perfectly normal!. My trainer says that often your muscles will hurt afterward, especially if you change the work out!. Try to move into the different workout more slowly!. You could also try doing the workout every other day to prevent strain on your muscles!. Also, keeping a trainers journal with what weights you have lifted that day and for how long also helps to look back and help you see what may have gone wrong!. Hope this helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i know what you are thinking!. i have been dancing for years, and i didnt start to get sore until a week ago!. but its normal, being sore means your working your muscles!. bodys do weird things that some of us will never understand!. so to answer your question, being sore is completley normal, even if you have been doing it for a long time!. it might just take more for you to become sore!. if you did something different then it might have worked your muscles in a different way, maybe you should do what you did different more often!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like you strained yourself!. Take it easy on that for a few days!. When you increase weight or repition you should do it gradually at all times!. No need to rush!. Hope you feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your biceps must be sore from the heavier weight which is a good thing b/c now you will be getting stronger after you recover!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
