Answers:
Don't listen to scams about weight loss and building muscle!.

Unfortunately it takes a bit of work and a lot of self-discipline!. But you can get there!. Don't give up!

You should follow a regimen including a healthy mealplan, a fair amount of exercise 5-7 times a week, and a proper night's sleep every night!. Ask your parents or best friends to help you plan this out and stick to it!. It helps if someone else is doing it with you!.

Eat!. Eat healthy!. Sometimes people think eating less helps them get in shape!. If you are doing extra work getting in shape, how will you have enough energy on less food- you won't!. You may need to eat more!. If you're hungry, add in small, healthy snacks throughout your normal three meals!.

***Visit http://www!.nutritiondata!.org!. It will help you find out what's best for you, a 13 year old, and not some 40 year old woman!.
-If you need to, ask your coach about dietary needs (what and how you eat) and then your personal physician to check!.

-Drink lots of water throughout every day- before you work out and after especially!. Water makes you feel less tired, more alert, less hungry, and more focused!.
-Drink less or no soft drinks and sugary or carbonated drinks!. These only slow you down with all the sugar and caffeine!. If water is too plain, try 100% juices or flavored water!.
-Drink low-fat or skim milk- vitamins A & D and protein!

-Does your family belong to a gym!? If not, can you go with a friend occasionally on a visitor's pass!. *If you don't know which machines to use or how, ask! A trainer or employee will be happy to show you which machines would be the right ones to help you train for tennis!.
-OR check out workout tapes from your library or borrrow some from a friend or relative!. Doing cardio/ stretching will build up your muscles and get you in shape!.
-An important tip is when you are using weights or doing pushups, etc!., quality is more important than quantity!.
-Concentrate of types of exercise that will build the individual muscles in your arms, legs, and core (abdomen)- helping you become the best tennis player you can be!.
-Try jogging/running 2 miles 3 times a week!. It builds up muscle and makes you much stronger!.
-Interval training: Use marked lines (football field) or you can even use mailboxes on your street!. Sprint from your house, touch the sidewalk, jog back to your house, and sprint to the second mailbox and repeat!. This is hard work but bending strengthens the muscles you need for tennis!.
-Use weights, resistance bands, or medicine balls!. Find what type of exercise you like the best!.
-Know your limits!. When you're tired, don't push yourself!. It can lead to strains and muscle tears!.

RUN RUN RUN !
if you run alot your more likely to get fitter than doing the likes of press ups!.

Also play Tennish against a hard wall as the ball will bounce back really fast and it will keep you on your toes!.
