Intervals vs. moderate cardio? How do you do proper intervals? What's best betwe!

Question:

Intervals vs. moderate cardio? How do you do proper intervals? What's best between the two? Etc.?

How do you run proper intervals? Is it OK for you to jog, then run until you're tired, then ease into a walk --- then keep repeating? Or does it half to go on strict 2 minute timing?

Also, what's best --- running intervals or going at a consistant rate? Why?

Thx a mill.

Also, has anyone of you on Yahoo had personal success running intervals?

Answers:

Intervals work, I have done them before, but you should not do them until you get to the point where you cannot lose anymore weight doing running, jogging, etc... Because there aren't many other things more intense than intervals that you can do to lose weight so you should start doing it when you have maybe less than 5-10 pounds to lose.

Jogging and then running is fine, but keep in mind that when you are running, you are running much harder than a normal run, and thats also why some people do a walk fast/run combo rather than jog/run, but jog/run is still fine. 2 minutes is ok, but it doesnt have to be. Just keep repeating.

Once again about your last question, you dont need intervals until you are getting no more results from running constantly. You can do it, and it will probably work better because it really does keep your metabolism higher for longer than running constantly, but I would save it until I am near my goal.
