15 yr old PROTEIN SHAKES?!


Question: 15 yr old PROTEIN SHAKES!?
I just turned 15 and I was wondering if protein shakes were any good!? I'm a female!. 5'6 105 lbs!.
I want to gain some muscle!. I understand that the shakes won't replace my meals!. I will still eat as I normally do!. I do not want to take more then one a day!.
Which brand is the best for my age but also taste yummy!?
& I will do "light exercise" at first b-cuz I'm such a coach potato!.
I eat, but I think I just have a fast metabolism!. Both my parents were skinny when they were younger but now are plump!.

Do you think protein shakes are a good idea!?
Whats a good brand that TASTE GOOD!!?

Protein won't help you!.!.!.you only need it if you are doing weight lifting!.!.!.not light exercise!.!.!.it would just be tough on your kidneys to do that!.!.!.you need to do more exercise first!.!.!.and I like Muscle Milk!.!.!.kinda expensive thoughWww@Answer-Health@Com

Try taking creatine before doing your light exercises instead!. Drinking creatine in no fat milk tastes pretty good and taking it immediately before exercising gets you into the habbit of exercising every time you drink it!. I personally don't see much effect when I take protein shakes, but I see quite a bit of muscular effect when I take creatine before exercising (not bulging muscles, just good tone/definition that is nice in appearance and to the touch)!. Creatine is naturally present in all your cells, same as protein, but it seems more effective!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just about any protein shake is going to taste disgusting!. I mix mine with grape juice!. After you work out the two things your muscles want is sugar and protein so but whey protein powder and mix it with 6 oz!. of grape juice!. That's yummy!. And yeah, I started working out and drinking protein shakes when I was 16, so they're fine!.

But also, protein isn't enough!. To gain muscle you have to do a little more than light exercise!. When you do things like lift weights, you are tearing your muscles just a little and then you give it protein to build itself back stronger!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i really like the ensure there not protein shakes there meals in a can but taken with meals there just the boost you will need!. there very tasty i have a tendency to drink all in a couple of days!. they came in six or eight packs for around $10!.00 they have butter pecan and chocolate flavors along with vanilla and a couple others!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Garbanzo beans and egg whites are better, make your own shakes like the old bodybuilders did, Amino acid combos to get full proteins out of plant based foods are as follows, dairy and whole grains, legumes and whole grains, sedds and nuts nd legumes!.Pay a lot of attention to the vitamin and mineral content of your diet!.Vegetarian Sports Nutrition is a great book!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
