How long can I wait after exercising to eat protein? [easy pts!]?!


Question: How long can I wait after exercising to eat protein!? [easy pts!]!?
I'm trying to keep my muscle and tone, so I eat protein after, but I'm never hungry after exercising!. It's said that you can only wait so long after exercising to eat protein for muscle and tone, before your body won't use it to its maximum, right!?

I just don't like to have to be really full afterwards because I'm on a sort of "time limit" if I want that protein to be of any real use!.

So can I wait longer than an hour to eat protein, or do I absolutely have to have some within 40mins if I want to keep my muscle/tone!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hello,

Yeah I agree it can be a pain when you're not feeling in the mood to eat!. There is lots of information out there regarding protein intake following exercise ranging from immediately after completing your last exercise right the way to within 2 hours!. Just as a suggestion maybe try half of your normal mix within the hour of completion and the other half within the next hour!.
