I just can't lose weight?!


Question: I just can't lose weight!?
I'm 5"7 and I'm about 150lbs!. I know I'm fat but I just can't lose weight!. I eat really healthily and nearly all my food is organic/homemade!. I don't eat unhealthily and I've had fast food like once this year so I just don't understand why I'm fat and I can't lose weight!. My friends eat so many sweets and chocolates and they're skinny yet eat hardly ever do!. I know I must have quite bad metabolism but is there something I'm doing wrong!?
I'd really like to lose at least 20 lbs in the next few months but I don't know what I can do!. I'd know if I ate unhealthily and never exercised but I don't and I don't eat huge portions!. A lot of the time I eat less then 1000 calories and sometimes I only have 1 meal a day when I'm trying to lose weight and do this for ages with no result!. I know it's unhealthy but I don't know what else to do!.
I eat rice quite regularly, could that be it!?
Any good advice would be greatly appreciated, and sorry it's so long!.

first off exercise is a key factor!. there is no way you are gonna lose weight if you keep taking in calories but don't burn those extra pounds!. now don't get me wrong, you're eating habits already sound healthier than mine but cutting down your food intake to 1000 calories isn't intelligent!. you are 14 and still growing!. its made annoying i know but its the truth!. trust me i'm 5'2" and i wish i made healthier decisions so i would have grown to my full potential!. but about the 1000 calorie diet, belive it or not, that's actually hurting you a lot more than you think!. picture this!. if you are consuming 2000 calories a day then your body is going to set its metabolism to burn aroudn 2000 calories!. if you stop eating the same about like your 1000 calories your body will adjust and your metabolism will slow down!. that's NEVER a good thing when trying to loose weight never the less while you are so young!. secondly for your height, 135 if the appropiate weight!. if indeed you do start to lose weight, it will deffinately become difficult to dip down below that number!. and also just a little bit of personal advice, try not to focus on how much you weigh in comparison to how you look!. i'm 5'2" as i've said early and i weigh 123!. now for my height 'technically' i'm supposed to weight 110 but i'm extremely atheletic and muscle weighs more than fat!. i look fine although i am considered 'slightly' over weight!. there are many thing you need to take into consideration such as dieting as you are doing fine with (just eat more of the healthy stuff; keep up the good work ) exercising (try cardio exercises for 30 minutes everyday and within 4 weeks you'll see amazing results), genes!. it is possible that for you to be skinny like your other friends woudl be unnatural!. i know a lot of my friends who eat the same way as your friends and honeslty if i did that i'd have to start losing weight!. but keep at it and you'll look great for the bathing suit season!. =]

add cardio/running, at least 20 minutes twice a week!.

keep a daily journal of what you eat!. You may be missing something!. Have someone with experience evaluate it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

At your age you should be eating atleast 3 meals a day or 5-6 small meals and exercising 40-60 3 times a week!.

If you constantly starve your body it will store the calories you do eat as fat!. You need to eat regularly so that your body doesn't get confused and store it!.

Also 14 is way too young to be obessed with 20 extra pounds, if you eat healthy and exercise then you are healthy!. At 5'7 and 150 your Body mass index is 23!.49

hmm 5'7!.!.!.at 150lbs is overweight!?!?!? sh** i'm in trouble then!. you arent fat!. at 5'7 you should weigh about 135-155 depending on age and build!. I would LOVE to be in my range, like you are!. your best bet though if you want to get down to the lower end of that scale is to excercise, and eat small meals 3-5 times a day and drink water water water! half your body weight in oz!. a day!. its also easy to cut out 500 cal a day by eliminating sodas and fruit cocktails!. 1 soda in general is 170-200cal so if you drink 2 a day, dont, and so on!.!.!.also eat whole grain rice, white rice is just a carb that will turn into sugar!. no nutrients!. by the way, if you eat less your body will think you are starving and will hold on to anything you eat (adding to your weight gain), and if you eat nothing at all, your body will eat its muscle!. try going to a nutritionist for some help, they might give you a vitamin to help your metabolism!. hope this helps!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Thats because your doing it in the most unhealthy way possible LOL!.!.

try to only lose 2 pounds a week, if you lose anymore your losing your muscle and thats the metabolism that can burn the fat for you in the first place!.

2 pounds a week is because thats all the body can handle at a healthy rate, therefore you should only be aimming to eat 500 fewer calouriers a day!.

Its good you dont eat huge portions because eating isnt about the quantity of food you eat its all about the quality and the effective way you cn good a good quality of it is by doing 10-20 bites before you shallow a mouth full, and dont eat infront of the TV or whatever!. And drink plenty of water so your brain doesnt short circuit and mistakenly trigger feelings of hunger, adequate hydration will fend off these confusing hunger pangs that can drive you to the brink!. about 2 litres of water a day!.

Water is great its 0 calories!.

And 1 more thing eating healthy is not all about losing weight its good for various things like giving you awesome night vision not the night vision that you see in the army, but clear as day night vision and the vegetable with that feature is carrots!. research your veges and eat to gain new things like a better metabolism, a better immune system!.
