How do I stop eating?!


Question: How do I stop eating!?
Recently, I don't know whether it's been down to stress or boredom of being in the house all day, but I just keep eating and eating!. I eat one thing and then food stays on my mind until I get another thing!. I've put on some weight in the past couple of weeks because of it!. What can I do to stop myself from snacking so much!? i actually used to be anorexic so i can help you with this haha!.!.!. but
1!. chew a lot of gum because it boosts your metabolism and the motion of chewing makes you feel like you are eating even though you are snacking on gum
2!. drink a lot of warer!!! water fills your stomach making you feel full without actually eating or gaining any calories also eat a lot of water based foods such as plums and bell peppers it is a food substance with low calories that is healthy for you and it is a healthy snack!. salsa also works really well!.!.!. you just take a spoon out and have a few scoops of salsa!. it has a really awesome flavor so you feel satisfied
3!. snack on popcorn! and i don't mean the extra butter fat kind i mean either kettle corn or plain!. i personally am a fan of kettle corn!.!.!. so popcorn actually has a great source of fiber so it is good for you and it is basically all air!
4!. when you do eat actual food eat in a cold place because when you are hotter you want to eat more and when you are cold you dont! its simple! also let each bite linger in your mouth for a very long time!.!.!. chew very slowly! you feel like you're eating more!
5!. DO NOT EAT IN FRONT OF THE TV!!! this is so bad because when you are watching a movie or tv, your mind is preoccupied and you consume way more than you should be or even want to!.
6!. if you still don't feel satisfied and want a snack pop a stick of gum into your mouth, chug some water, or eat healthy snacks such as strawberries, plums, bell peppers, carrots, etc!.!.!. they're delicious and nutritious!!!

Okay, A lot of these people have really really bad advice!. You're eating because you're bored!. Jillian Michaels from the biggest loser says you should eat 4 times a day every 4 hrs, 3 meals and 1 snack!. My advice is to keep the snack down to 100 calories!. You can buy the 100 calorie packs at any super market!. Whenever you think about eating just go for a walk, if possible & bring water with you, so by the time you get back you're not hungry!. I once heard that cravings of food are strongest the first 15 minutes, so get through the first 15 minutes & you should be good!. Also, if stress is causing you to want to eat excessively then maybe you should get your problems worked out!. To get motivated grab a friend and start a regular jog time or brisk walk time!. Honestly, I have the same problem sometimes, just not every day, so I search the internet like crazy to try & find solutions!. It's hard for me though because I have 2 daughters!. Their is no exscuses though, so lets get up & get out there & show the world that we're stronger then them snacks! :) Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

How's this: Do you want to look like Rosie O'Donnell!? Do you want to look like the lady from SuperNanny!? Fear is a decent motivator, it's not the best but it will do!. If you fear becoming a cold, lonely, fatass old biddy, then stop your useless snacking!. Chew gum to keep your mouth occupied if you have to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like your eating out of boredom and lack of anything else to do!. I have the same problem,!. The best thing to do is pay attention to what's going on when you go eat and see why your doing it!. It's obvious that your not hungry when you do it so find something else to do!. Play a game or read a book!. Find some hobbies and focus on them!. Just find something to do other than eat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can tell you what works for me!.
I went on line & and downloaded the weight watcher point system!.Printed it & have a folder of all foods & their points!.
It is amasing how much you can eat & all your favorite foods encluded!.
As far as snacking I allow myself one snack after dinner!.I got hooked on those rice cakes, they come in a lot of different flavers
and you can have 8 for 1 point!.
Also drink lots of water!.
Chewing gum is a big help too!.
I truely believe you can overcome this problem with prayer & determination!.
keeping busy helps & so does exersizing

I have the same problem!. I usually replace my obsession with food to one of exercise!. Unfortunately, my weight yo-yo's because of this!. I go from eating all the time to execising all the time!. One great motivational tool is buy yourself a really cute outfit that is one size too small!. You'll want to lose the weight to get into it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is all horrible, horrible advice!. Scaring yourself or making yourself feel horrible is not going to work for very long!. How about making a schedule where you can ONLY eat at certain times, i!.e!. 9am, then 12pm, 3pm, etc!? Don't put anything in your mouth between those times!. It will make it much easier!. Preplanning your meals will also stop you from snacking!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've been through that before usually tied to my period, sometimes not!. But then I usually go through a down cycle where I don't feel like eating at all!. If it doesn't stop in a few days I would talk to your dr office just call the nurse, they might want to see you and check a few things out!

As hard as it sounds, just occupy yourself with other stuff!. Go out with friends, get a makeover, go for a run, have a chat with a friends!.!.!.!. etc etc!.
When you eat, EAT SLOWLY, and think of every bite that you eat!.
Also, do NOT BUY TEMPTING FOODS!! Let someone else do the shopping for groceries!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's the same thing with me!. I just go for a walk, read, watch tv, go on the computer, and anything else that keeps me occupied until it's time to eat again!. And don't forget that food is not entertainment; it's used to survive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

chew gum, you'll be less likely to eat because you don't want to have to throw it away, drink LOTS of water, and brush your teeth as soon as you are done with your meal so you won't want to eat seconds and thirds etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

every time you want somethng, go look in the mirror naked without sucking in and really focus in on everything you hate about your body!. Poke your stomach, stare at your thighs, ect!. works like a charm!Www@Answer-Health@Com

try to gulp a huge glass of water when you're hungry instead!. make it ice cold, too (:
