It a bad thing to take too many vitamins and stuff everyday?!


Question:

It a bad thing to take too many vitamins and stuff everyday?

I am taking potassium, Calcium, iron and beta carotene and I was thinking about taking Vit. C too. Is that a bad thing to eat all of them daily, because I heard somewhere that it was.
It's not like I'm just dosing pills down my throat or anything, but I don't want to turn into a person that lives off vitamins either. So whats the right amount to take too be healthy?

Answers:

one multivitamin a day is plenty, unless you have a prescription. Multivitamins usually have more than the recommended daily intake percentage, anyway, so there's no need to take a lot of vitamins. Some vitamins are harmless if you take too many, but others have adverse effects.
