Is sodium content a factor when trying to lose weight?!

Question: Is sodium content a factor when trying to lose weight!?
Answers:
not only a factor for weight management it's also a factor in heart health!.
Sodium intake should be no more than 2400mg which is 1 tsp of salt/day!. The key is to be in control of your own salt and try to eat foods with the lowest added sodium!.
Fast food is the biggest culprit of added sodium!. When you read the lables on your food check sodium first!.

By definition losing weight means losing fat, water loss does not really count as weight loss!.

One could weigh 75 Kg in the morning and some hours later during a very hot day the weight goes down to 74!.5 Kg, no doubt that 0!.5 Kg difference was water loss from evaporation, not fat loss!.

Salt just like water does not contain calories therefore it does not come into the weight loss equations!.

Calories come only from carbohydrates, fat and protein, mainly the first two but any excess protein can be converted to sugar and fat to be used as fuel!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!!! Sodium is a HUGE factor when trying to loose weight! Sodium actually causes your body to retain water, therefore causing you to gain weight!.

Salt is one of the 3 evil "whites" - White sugar, White flour and White salt!.

Try to avoid them all as much as possible!. And it is sad that most restaurant foods are loaded with salt, so just be careful how much you eat out!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

salt and water go hand in hand
too much salt (or not enough water) and your body could hold onto excess water leaving you bloated

its not really a major factor in losing actual body fat
but in terms of appearance and physical weight it can make a difference of a few pounds or soWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes it is!. The more the sodium content the more water you need to flust it out of your system!. Also your body tends to retain water if sodium intake is more and that water plays an important role in your body weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
