Crunches or cardio for abs?!

Do crunches actually do anything!? Or is it better to just do lots of cardio to reduce your overall body fat!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Both!. To show off your abs, you need to burn off the layer of fat that is covering them!. To do this you need to go on a calorie restricted diet and do a lot of exercise including cardio and sit ups!. The layer of fat will not go away by simply doing sit ups and crunches!. If you already have a low body fat percentage than doing situps and crunches will help you!. Don't go crazy with them!. A lot of people go to the gym and fo hundreds of situps and crunches every day!. They treat their abs differently from every other muscle in the body!. Treat them the same as you would any other muscle and you will see improvements!.

the answer is both!.!. first and foremost, you need to perform cardio work along with a diet plan to reduce bodyfat!. there are many approaches to dieting, but i found the best one that works for me is a higher protein, reduced carb, low fat diet!. it is easy for me to stick to, allows me to eat a variety of foods, keeps me full, and yields results!. as for cardio, you need to do it at least 4 times a week, at least 30 minutes per session!. work at a pace that keeps you breathing heavy but not so fast that you cannot complete a full 30 minutes!. crunches should not be the only exercise choice as they only target the top portion of the ab region!. google search ab exercises to get a variety of exercises you can perform at home to hit all regions of the abs!. i like to do leg lifts, twisting crunches or bicycles, incline situps, and i also do some wirk with a pilates ball ( no its not just for women) as this targets more of your stabilizing muscles ( core muscles)!.!. the ab work mentioned will develop the ab muscles!. this work is necesary along with the cardio for a good set of abs!. depending on your current bodyfat level, you may want to concentrate more on cardio for now until you get it near 12-15% or so!. under that %, you should do both for a noticable differenceWww@Answer-Health@Com

Crunchs make abs bigger, but since muscle is under fat it just makes you look fat if you don't do cardio!.

Cardio is probably twice as important as crunchs for abs!. I'd do crunchs after you've clear some fat out of the way, or do them in combination with cardio!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if ur looking to lose weight than cardio, but if ur looking to strengthen ur abs, both!. crunches make them bigger and stronger while cardio tightens the skin around ur stomach making ur abs more definedWww@Answer-Health@Com
