1200 calories a day and 45 minutes of cardio?!

Question: 1200 calories a day and 45 minutes of cardio!?
If I stick to a 1200 calorie a day diet I am afraid my metabolism is going to slow down because my body feels like it is not consuming enough food!. If I add 45 minute of cardio a day and weight training 2 or 3 times a week, will that keep my metabolism moving!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

How did you decide on 1,200 calories!? Was it suggested for your height and age!?

For most people unless you are fairly short or small boned 1,500 calories is best while you are also working out!.

I see that you are doing cardio 45 minutes a day and weight training 2-3 times a week!. I would suggest you concentrate more on the weight training and less on the standard cardio!.

Weight training will help you build lean muscle which will help you burn more calories every day (that is why 1,500 is recommended)!.

Also don't check your progress on a scale!. If you build lean muscle you will slim down, but since it weighs more than fat you scale either won't budge or will actually go up!.

Check your progress by seeing how your clothes fit!. This will be a much better guide and the scale will only frustrate you!.

I could better answer your question if I knew your height, weight, age and gender!. But if you're eating only 1200 calories a day and burning off 600 hundred of those, you probably need to increase your intake by the number of calories you burn each day!. If your metabolism is normal, 1200 calorie per diem will eventually render you at a pretty 120 pounds!. No adult should be small than that!. But to answer your question, cardio and weight training will keep your metab functioning properly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would say maybe add 100-200 kcal if you feel your energy level is too low!. You will need energy to perform well in workouts and get the benefits out of it!. So try to get maybe 1300-1400kcal and keep working out the way you do!. Resistance training is the key to keep your metabolism at a high level!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Adding cardio will not change the fact that you are not getting enough calories!. You will initially lose weight, but it will be at a great cost later!. Eat small meals, more frequently!. It is the best thing to keep your metabolism going!. Your body will burn it, because it knows your going to feed it soon!.

1200 calories is a good amount to eat per day if your looking to lose weight and wont slow your metabolism!. To keep it up though you should always have a healthy breakfast (this helps set your metabolism for the day)!. And yes, the exercise will help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1200 calories is too little, and 45 minutes of cardio is too much!. Both will atrophy your muscle tissue, thus making you gain weight more easily in the future!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

divide the calories into 5 different meals throughout the day!.
itll speed up the metabolism, rather than just eating one big meal, etc!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it will help, try eating more high fiber foods, this should help with the hunger feeling or add a 100-200 calories!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

exercise will increase your metabolic rate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
