Creatine - benefits and sideeffects?!

Question:

Creatine - benefits and sideeffects?

I began using some food supplement called Hypermass 5000 witch is a "gainer" - it is used to gain weight. Now there are a lot of amino acids in it but out of them all I have been warned from a friend only about creatine. I would appiciate if you could tell me more.

Answers:

Creatine is a natural supplement. It can be found in foods like steak and beef... the reason creatine is so potent or useful is that the average person does not consume enough of it, so when a person takes in a larger dose when lifting weights, it better helps build muscle.

Many people who lift weights or who are trying to gain weight take creatine. There are no harmful side effects to creatine and creatine is 100% safe. The only minor side effect is that creatine retains water and may cause you feeling a little bloated. So if you are planning on going to the beach or something to show off some muscles, it's best to stop taking creatine 2 weeks before to stop the water retention and bloating.

Just for safety reasons though, always go by the recommended use on the product label and always read the warnings. As long as you're a healthy person between the ages of 18-50, creatine is fine.

Edit: The benefits to creatine are it can allow you to lift more, increase strength, help in muscle recovery, and it helps build muscle mass.
