I don't understand how I gained so much weight in a couple of days!?!

Question: I don't understand how I gained so much weight in a couple of days!!?
I've been running on the treadmill for around 30 mins pretty much everyday for the past few weeks!. I measured myself around 3 days ago and today I measured myself again and the scale tells me I gained 3 pounds!. =( I measured myself again on another scale and it tells me the same thing!. What's going on!? How can I gain so much weight in a couple of days!? I've been eating healthy and the same portions I've been eating!. Could it be muscle mass!? All my clothes fit fine and I actually think I look thinner!. =(Www@Answer-Health@Com

Step away from the scale!!!

Scales can be very misleading and it can often get you frustrated when there is no need!. As you state your clothes fit fine and you look thinner!.

Your weight gain (according to the scale) can be caused by several things!.

First off, yes you could be building lean muscle which weights more than fat so although your getting thinner your scale will show an upswing!.

Second, you could also be retaining water!. Did you know that 1 spear of a dill pickle (that would be 1/4 of a pickle) has 15 calories but due to the sodium you can gain 2 pounds!? It's all water and will go away but that is just one way the scale can trick you!.

Keep on checking your progress by the way your clothes fit--not the scale and you'll do fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The weight variation can be for many reasons!. First off you should only weigh yourself once a week, the same day at the same time ie: Friday morning at 7am!. Your weight can flucuate throughout the day depending on what you've eaten for the day!. If you've taken in any sodium and had some water, guess what!? Your body is going to retain that water and the scale will reflect a weight gain!. Yes it could be muscle mass depending on what else you've been doing besides running, although running usually won't make you gain muscle, except maybe in your lean muscle!. So just take things into consideration about when you weigh yourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeh dont worry! it is proabably a cobination of things but seen as you said you look thinner and your clothes are fine it cant be excess fat and youve just gained muscle!.!.!.which is great that youve gained it qickly and will help speed up your metabolism even when your resting!.honeselty though dont rely on your scale, its so easy to become consumed in weighing yourself, trust me i know! you can fluctuate in weight like about 6 pounds in one day from morning to night! just go by how you feel and how your clothes fit!.

and good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you look thinner than you are fine!. Things can weigh more with a smaller appearance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
