I don't know what your workout routine consists of but i'm guessing since you mention gaining muscle in order to burn fat that all youre doing is strength training exercises to build muscle!. you have to do cardio! there's no way around it!. the only way to lose fat is to burn more calories than you consume!. and about the whole muscle burning fat thing that's not nessicarily the case!.!.!.when you gain muscle your body burns more calories on it's own doing regular bodily functions because it takes more energy to keep muscles going rather than fat!. but it doesnt burn THAT much more not enough to see a significant weight loss it's most helpfull in maintaining your weight once you get to your goal!. so my advice to you is to incorporate cardio into your routine!. if you have access to an elliptical machine or stationary bike or treadmill take advantage of it and get at least 30 mins of cardio!. keep track of the calories you eat!. look up your BMR (just search BMR calculator) to see how many calories your body burns at rest and go from there in figuring out how many calories you should consume!. remember the goal is to burn more calories than you eat so keep track of how many calories you burn and how many calories you eat!. good luck to you i hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok, lets say you exercize everyday and so you burn like 1500 cals a day, but then you eat 1500 cals a day!. You get more toned, but your weight stays the same because it just evens out!.

Or maybe you dont really have weight to lose, slimmer people usually have a harder time dropping any pounds!. ?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try changing your workout routine!. Your muscles will get use to the same workout!. Work out different muscle groups on different days!. I!.e!. chest on one day, shoulders and triceps on another, back and biceps!. then legs!. This will help in not over working any one group!. Do high reps and make surer you are doing each exercise correctly and with good form!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
