Answers:
OK first and foremost, please please stop getting your neck adjusted by a chiropractor, this can be really dangerous and can even lead to stroke and death!.
book - Trick or Treatment!?: Alternative Medicine on Trial simon singh and edward ernst

you really need to go and see a proper doctor as you may need referral to a orthopaedic doctor or a physiotherapy referral!.

if the area is inflamed you need to put ice or something very cold on it, not hot which could be making it worse!. try taking paracetamol occasionally when it gets really bad but dont rely on painkillers!.

it may be that the chair you do your work on is not right ofr you!. look online for a guide to how to set your chair properly!. but so you know your lower back should be supported, your forearms should just rest on your desk and your knees should be slightly lower than your thighs!. a proper chair could amke all the difference!.

you could try going for a sports massage to see if you can work the muscle out!.

a good stretch you can try is this:
sit straight with your feet flat on the floor with your arms straight down by yourside and relaxed!. now slowly place your chin on your chest and hold for 5 seconds!. now slowly return to normal!. then slowly lean your head straight back and hold for 5 seconds, and back again!. then, keeping your shoulders still turn your head to the left, hold 5, back to centre!. the same to the right!. next tilt you ear to your shoulder, hold for 5, back to centre, same other side!. do this at least 3 times a day!. take a 10 minutebreak from your work every hour and stretch, walk around etc!.

this shoul all help!. but please stop with the chiropractor and see your doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com

Happens to me, too, and it's definitely a 2 part problem!.

First, you probably have a tear or other injury going on in that muscle causing it to knot up!. Obviously, that needs to heal - but because of stress, it's not relaxing enough to give it a chance to heal!.

I suggest ibuprofin, gentle stretching, moist heat, and lots of relaxation!. Have you tried yoga or meditation!?

You need to teach the muscle how to relax and not tense up!. It will take time, but it will be worth it in the long run! Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

That happens to me sometimes as well!.

It seems as if you are doing all you can!. Check with a doctor to see if there is anything else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try a different chiropractor coz apparently the one you are using is ineffectiveWww@Answer-Health@Com

see an actual doctor and find out whats up!Www@Answer-Health@Com
