How many pounds could I lose?!


Question: How many pounds could I lose!?
I'm planning on working out this summer once school's out (June 20)!. We're buying an elliptical and my whole family is going on a diet, and I was wondering how much weight I could lose from then until the end of summer!.
I plan on working out at /least/ 5 days a week, probably every single day!. I've been on ellipticals at the gym before, and I LOVE them!. It's hard work and you can feel yourself working up a sweat, but it doesn't mess up your knees like running does!. And it makes me feel great when I'm done!.
I'm able to do about 15 mins of working out medium/high speed at the moment, because I'm out of shape!. But I plan on raising that bit by bit!.
If I did work out almost every day for at least 20 minutes, and stuck to a healthy diet, how much could I lose this summer!?
I'm out of shape, overweight, 5'5" and 14 (15 in like a month) years old!. I've heard that it's possible to lose 2-3 pounds a week, and if I could that would be great! Just a ballpark estimate would be fine!.Thx for any helpWww@Answer-Health@Com

Thats bull!.!.!.some excersize is better then none!.

When I started - I went to a healthy diet and working out an the elliptical I purchased for 10 minutes!. I weighed 230 and was very overweight for my height!.

The first week, I lost 7 and a half pounds!.!.with my 10 minutes on the elliptical a day and just eating healthy and watching my portion sizes!.

The next I lost 7 more pounds!.!.!.and went up to 20 minutes a week!.

Ive now lost 39 pounds and am on my 6th week and can do 40 minutes and have stuck to a healthy diet!.

Do what you can and gradually increase it!. Push yourself as much as you can and eat healthy and keep your metabolism going!.

there's like two major kinds of work out, from what the body builders seem to indicate!. One builds up muscle, and the other gets rid of fat!. Supposedly, you can't do both at the same time!. So if you start off with a lot of fat, and are trying to lose weight, you will lose both muscle and fat, ending up a pile of skin and bones essentially!.
If you want to have a functional figure, you have to first develop more muscle, which enhances your metabolism!. Some foods can boost or slow your metabolism, so you want to watch what you eat more than how much you don't eat!. Muscle weighs more than fat, so you may actually have to gain weight before trimming down!.

20 minutes a day isn't sufficient to really do much of anything unless those 20 minutes are living hell!. I've found that people who are super lazy can actually benefit from even a few minutes per day, but these people have trouble fitting through doors!. too many hours of work out can also wither away someone or cause health problems!. Try adding 5 minutes a day for about 10 workout days and be sure to rest periodically!. Also try to mix up the workout so you don't get bored or spot train!.

Spot training works for bulk but has no effect on weight loss - i!.e!. you can have a huge bicep on one arm, but you may never get rid of your thighs using nothing but a thighmaster!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
