Personal trainers or subject knowledgable answers please?!
Question: Personal trainers or subject knowledgable answers please!?
Am near fifty and been working out very regularily for about 1!.5 years!. am slowing changing my shape for the better, but I have a concern!. I rencently grew a ganglion cyst on my foot so my treadmill, 5!.0 with a 3!.5 incline needed to be stopped!. So for the past month I have been using this machine that is like a eliptical but different, harder I believe on a resisitance of 7!. I get winded after about 2 minutes and keep at a pace of 60 which is tough for me!. I do this the majority of the time and also use a spin bike standing for other workouts!. My problem is this, I seem to be adding muscle, too much in my theighs!. I go for 30 minutes!. What do you think is the problem!. Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
The resistance is too high, lower it!. I would make the workout harder by going longer (time) or speeding up the pace!. Muscle is being built because of the resistance, look at sprint cyclists, their legs are large!. Look at long distance cyclists their legs are much smaller (leaner)!.
I have a masters in exercise physiology and have been working as a personal trainer for 15 years!.
Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you do all that and try to stay in shape the you shouldn't get a personal trainer because its just extra money that you don't really need to spend!. So I would recommend not getting a personal trainer!. You should try doing exercise that doesn't involve standing and putting pressure on your feet that much! =]]Www@Answer-Health@Com
