Question concerning anorexia and underweight?!


Question: Question concerning anorexia and underweight!?
I assume most people will find this question very sick, and they have reason to do so!.

I am suffering from anorexia nervosa, and due to a change in my treatment plan I now have total control of my own weight and eating habits!. Because I have a very anorectic mind this has led to fast weight loss!. I will continue losing weight until I reach a certain BMI which puts me to hospital, after that they will get my health back at a healthy level!.

As my anorexic voice is that strong, there's nothing I can do to not reaching that BMI!. However, I want to do it as "healthy" as possible!. So my question is; Would it be best to do it slowly over time, or should I lose weight as fast as possible!? If I do it slowly I will be underweight for a longer period of time, which may hurt my body more, or is it more danger in losing weight fast!? Currently I eat nothing!.

I realize I am very sick and I know this is very dangerous, but there's nothing I can do!.

First off, I didn't find your question "sick" at all
it's very impressive that you recognize the ED you have, and its consequences
your mindset is strong although your body is not!.

There's something about BMI's that you should know:
they are not meant for everyone, they are not perfect!.
for different people they are different!.

if you want to know, I have a BMI of 18
which would be considered anorexic according to my weight and height!.
however that is grossly inaccurate
I am neither anorexic nor am I in denial
I've never binged, purged, or even dieted; I eat whenever I feel hungry

one can be thin and healthy!. but the key to becoming thin and staying thin is losing weight /gradually/!.
eating nothing only puts your body on starvation mode
which means your metabolism (the rate at which your body digests food) sharply increases because whatever nutrition your body can get, it'll try to digest as much as possible
thus whenever you eat again, you'll quickly bloat, even if you eat very little
and you'll be unhealthy and unhappy for a long period of time
and the only end to this is, to be realistic, is painful death from starvation!.

the best way to become fit yet healthy is to cut not the carbs, but the sugar: no cookies, pizza, ice cream, etc!. eat lots of fruit and vegetables, and healthy food!. do /not/ binge or purge, because that makes the problem worse!. drink lots of water, and regularly exercise (not compulsively)

I recommend swimming as a way of fitness - you grow to have a "swimmer's body" as well as a toned shape!.

do not cut back on nutrition bars because your body needs the energy to power itself!.

if you gradually lose weight, the weight will stay off!.

stay healthy and strong!. I know you can do it!.

EDIT: if you've deprived yourself for a while, start off by drinking some soup and work your way up to solid foods!. It is not true that your body 'cannot take' vitamins and minerals in starvation mode, but more so that sudden huge amounts of vitamins / minerals can overwhelm your system (but the complete lack of it can and will kill you)!. If you can, set a record for yourself - and be proud you're achieving a healthy body with food and no deprivation!.

starvation mode is a terrible state because you suffer while your body shuts down!.
it is not a state that you want to be in!.
the best method would be to work yourself up to a healthy BMI
and maintain fitness at the same time
when you are out of starvation mode
you will gain much of your complextion back as well as body shape !.!.
think of it this way: the metabolism is the /same/ for starvation mode + unhappy mindset AND healthy metabolic rate + healthy mindset
only your body will be much healthier in the second scenario
starvation mode does nothing better than make you unhappy!.

thus /gradually/ work your way up!. as you slowly eat more healthy foods your metabolic rate should adjust as well as your body begins to function normally again!. thus you will not bloat if this is gradual!. the process should be constant and slowly increasing, however!.

if you can, try to schedule a private meeting with your counselor or therapist who can help you better; I know you can and will defeat this monster that does nothing but ruin your body while ravaging your mind until you want to do nothing more than die!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you lose weight fast, your body may go into shock which can shut down your organs!. You could die!. You need to seek help, get back on a treatment plan that is going to help keep you on track!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
