What do you look for in a personal trainer?


Answers:

First off look for someone who is trained and qualified. They should be knowledgeable in cardio and resistance/weight training as well as in nutrition. A good trainer will be certified by one of several organizations and you can ask to see their certification.

After that, what I looked for and what I would recommend would be to look for someone who will push you a little further than you want to go, that way you will get the results you are looking for. Someone who just counts your reps or doesn't really care what weight you are lifting isn't really a good trainer.

Oh, I would also look for someone who you feel comfortable with. If you're not comfortable you won't be able to feel good about what you are doing because you'll be too self conscience. Someone with an outgoing, humorous personality is always good.
