One high calorie meal or small meals spread out over the day?!

Question:

One high calorie meal or small meals spread out over the day?

Okay, I know that "they" say that small calorie meals that are spread out over the course of one day, is better for one's matabolism, but would it be possible for one to eat, say, 1200 calories at one meal and then graze throughout the rest of the day, keep the total daily caloric below one's daily requirements, and still lose wieght. In other words, as long as one eats less than what one needs, no matter how it is divided up, one will still lose wieght? Thanks for the help!

Answers:

No no no no no no no

My sister is a personal trainer at the gym and she would smack me across the face if I did that.

It's a lot easier to eat one big meal and work off that, but it's WAY better for you to eat smaller meals periodically throughout the day.

Your body only needs so many calories to burn off at a time, and when you give it excess at one time, it'll store it as fat. You'll burn out quickly and get hungry later.

If you eat food with fewer calories, you'll find you can eat MORE of them. If you don't have time to make little meals throughout the day, pick one day a week to put food in little tupperwares to take to work or to eat when you get home.

I'm pretty busy most of the time, so I just grab some celery stalks and carrots ,chop them up in bite size peices, stick them in a bunch of plastic ziplocks, and grab one every time I leave the door. It's something easy, healthy, and fast that shoulud keep you energized and not starving until you eat your next meal (not a 1200 calorie meal).

You can do it! Nothing worth having in life comes easy!!!

Good luck!
