I think i hurt myself or pulled something lifting too much weight??!


Question:

I think i hurt myself or pulled something lifting too much weight??

Im 24, 165lb standing at around 5"10. Im trying to lift heavy weight doing 6 sets at 6 reps a piece. The other day i was working the incline dumb bell bench press. I started with 60lbs in each hand and doing 10 reps with no problem so i jumped to 75lbs in each hand thinking i could do 6 with no problem. I was only able to do 4 reps struggling, but ever since then i feel like i pulled or hurt something in the left/front side of my neck and the pain goes does to my shoulder/upper chest.

The following day i was working shoulders and i started a warm up doing shoulder press and 40lbs in each hand. I regularly do 12-15 reps with no problem at all but i couldnt even do 5 because i got a pain in that part mentioned above. Any ideas what happened, and what to do and not to do?

u did injure urself, so rest for a week and go again
