Can I lose 70 pounds in 3 months????!


Question: Can I lose 70 pounds in 3 months!?!?!?!?
I am 6 feet tall and 250 lbs!. Back when I weighed 220, I could wear a size 14!. So, I guess I'm big-boned!?

Anyways, my goal is 180!. But I want to get down to 200 by the middle of August, when I start college for the 1st time!.

I plan on eating healthy, obviously, and running/walking on the tredmill everyday from 30-60 min!. depending if I'm busy that day or not!.
If I break it up, say 15 min!. every few hours, is that effective!? It gets so boring after 10 min!. on the tredmill!.

Anyways, how much can I expect to lose!? I heard drinking tea raises your metabolism, is that true!? Also, eating spicy foods!?

Healthily (meaning if you want to keep it off), you should be losing 1-2 pounds per week!.

Honestly, working for 15 minutes at a time on the treadmill will not be as effective as going for 30 or 60 minutes, because the idea is to get your heart rate up, which makes you burn more calories more quickly!. If you want it to be less boring, put on some music, or watch tv while you walk/run!. It makes things more fun, and you almost forget about how long you've been going!.

I'm not entirely sure about the tea thing, but I do know that drinking milk (fat free or skim) will give you more calcium, which will help you lose weight faster!. Also, I don't know how much soda you drink, but it really makes a huge difference if you just cut it out entirely!. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but try drinking only water and milk or tea for this time; it should help a lot!.

I've never heard of spicy foods helping or hindering someone trying to lose weight, but eat lots of fruit and veggies when you're hungry for a snack!. Don't cut out all your bread, but eat whole-grain stuff, and less of it, because it's a lot of calories, and it'll give you energy quickly and then you'll crash just as quickly!. So make you balance it with protein (grilled chicken, lean lunchmeat, tuna, etc) and fruits and veggies!.

If you eat salads, try using more leaf lettuce than iceberg!. The greener it is, the more nutrients there are for you!. Iceberg lettuce is essentially water and has really no nutrients at all!. (Unfortunately, that's what a lot of restaurants use in their salads, so if you want salad, I'd recommend making it yourself with romaine or leaf lettuce or spinach leaves or something with low-fat dressing!.)

You probably know all this, but in general, grilled or steamed is generally better than fried, breaded, and all that!. Dressings like italian or vinaigrette are generally less fattening than cream-based dressings like ranch, thousand island, or ceasar!. Try to eat your biggest meal in the morning and don't eat for a couple hours before you go to bed!.

As far as exercising goes, make sure you warm up your body, and then stretch!. Because you don't want to be pulling any muscles, which will definitely hinder you :) So give yourself time to stretch your muscles, and then go into your cardio--running, biking, elliptical machines if you have one or access to one, dancing (which I find to be the most fun anyway)!. Also, make sure you give yourself cool down time as well, and drink PLENTY of water so you don't get dehydrated!!!

U cud break up the sessions or else use more variation in the same session, like walking and running!. Longer session is ultimately more helpful in building up stamina and metabolism!.

Eat well but only when hungry and not more than thrice a day!. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%!. To have more satisfaction out of ur food, Chew each morsel at least 32 times!. This will also activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness!. Obey these signals!. Do not go on fast or starvation diet!.

Nothing other than water in between!.

No special diet, call it by any name or program helps as one cannot adopt them on permanent basis!. Diet pills are chemicals and per se bad and shud be avoided unless the doc considers it necessary looking at ur condition!.

Doctors recommend you lose no more than 2 lbs a week in order to lose weight safely and keep it off!. That would allow you to safely lose about 30 lbs!. It does you no good to lose the weight if you cant maintain that weight once you lose it!.

Another word of warning!.!.!.!.!.!.you can never return back to your old weight (if it was ideal in the beginning) because of skin weight!. I know it sounds silly but when you gain weight, your skin grows to cover the new body area!.!.!.!.and it doesnt drop off when you lose the weight!. There is a true story of a man that lost 100 lbs but couldnt lose the last 10-15!. He donated the excess skin to a burn hospital and they removed over 18lbs of skin!!

That said, you need to exercise about 20 min to get your heartrate up and keep it up for several hours!. It would be much more effective to do 20 min on the treadmill!. Try a large print book or something like people magizine (something with a lot of pictures) and read while you walk!. Use headphones or put a small portable tv near where you work out!.

Plan on splurging once a week on chocolate or your favorite food!.!.!.!.!.If you don't your body will produce huge cravings because it will feel cheated!.
