Everyone says starving yourself to lose weight doesn't work..?!


Question: Everyone says starving yourself to lose weight doesn't work!.!.!?
Because you put it back on really fast, but what about anorexics!?!.!.My friend used to be anorexic but thankfully she was cured in time and never got too underweight, She eats normally now but still hasn't put weight Back on, although she goes to the gym alot !.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't care what anyone says about it, sadly it can work!.
I have been anorexic, bulimuc, ect, I droped 30 pounds in 2 monthes!. After I stoped I didn't gain it back, but I wouldn't recomend it, it makes you depressed and moody!.
You really have to think about it if you starve yourself, there's NO food in your body, your body has nothing to digest but itself, so therefore you can't gain weight unless you start eating again, but it has to be a gradual thing, not just go pick up a burger!.
When I got back to "normal" eating habits I started up again by just eating a bananna a day, and excersising obsesivly, but all is well now :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

There's your answer she 'goes to the gym alot'!.Alot of women fast,lose weight then when they start eating again put on more than before this is because your metabolism slows down when fasting so when you start eating you don't burn up calories as fast,excercising quickens your metabolism so you can burn off the calories quicker!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The reason they say it is because!.!.!.!.!.!. if you starve yourself your body reacts by holding onto all the fat and calories you do take in as much as possible because it trying to keep you alive so you wont be burning as much as you normally would but you will feel tired and ill!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. Obviously if you are running on empty your body has no choice but to use its calories but then it starts eating into your fat and muscles and eventually eating away at everything!.!.!.!.!.!.!. the brain starves so alot of people with eating disorders can seem as though they are going mad!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you want to lose weight, you must eat (at least) six times small meals a day instead taking three times heavy meal !.
Because when you eat only twice or thrice a day, your metabolism gets slower than it already is! That's the main reason!.
I'm also doing weight loss programme in which I eat 6 small meals and you know it is working in reducing my weight!.
Following is my diet plan:-
In Morning :- 30 gm Special 'K' kelloges with 120 ml skimmed milk!.
At 12!.00 pm:- one fruit like orange, peach, water melon, musk melon etc!.or lime juice
In Lunch:- Salad, Chapati, Dal, Green vegetables, Rice-1 catorie (30gm)!.
At 4!.30 pm:- one fruit like orange, peach, water melon, musk melon etc!.or lime juice or vegetables like cucumber, carrot, reddish!.
In Dinner:- 30 gm Special 'K' kelloges with 120 ml skimmed milk!.
Before going to bed:- 1 glass skimmed milk with one fruit!.

Do 30 minutes walk in morning and after dinner!.

Starvation is not good for losing weight, nor your health!.

If your considering it don't!. There is some things people don't actually understand, i!.e common misunderstandings!. Such as when you stop eating for a long period of time the body will start to use up its fat supply!. This is false!. The brain needs the fat to function and actually the body starts to eat up muscle and organ tissues!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It CAN work if you can stick to it but it is completely unhealthy and it doesn't teach you good habits for long term maintenance of the weight loss!. You'll either develop an eating disorder or you will put the weight back on!.

Is she completely cured!?
Do u know she is eating normally and how much exercise is she doing and why!.

Anorexia is a difficult illness - I think people can lapse back into it quite easily if not monitored!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They say starving yourself to loose weight doesnt work because you put it all back on when you resume normal eating habits!.
But anorexics dont eat or eat very little which is why they dont gain weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
