Question: Does anyone know of a good workout plan and food plan that has worked for them!?
I'm on my third week at the gym and I want to make sure I'm having a quality workout and not just going there all the time and looking around!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your gym regiment depends on your current fitness levels!.!.!.however i would start with:
cardio- either treadmill, bike, or elliptical machine for 30 minutes at least 5 times a week

strength training- either body weight (push-ups, sit-ups) or light weights 2-3 times a week to build muscle and get toned!.


However, in order to have a great workout you need to nourish your body the right way:

Eat a lot of fresh fruit
apples
oranges
bananas
cantelope
watermelon
honeydew melon
grapes

!.!.!.and vegetables (really low calorie!.!.!.)
sweet potatoes (packed with a TON of minerals/vitamins and low calorie!.!.!.unlike the starchy, higher-calorie white potato)
onions
tomatoes
cucumbers
carrots
broccili
cauliflower
corn
peas
collard greens
spinach
lettuce

as well as lean protein:
cooked the right way of course--grilled, blacked, roasted, baked, broiled, smoked
chicken
turkey
fish
egg beaters (substitute to eggs!.!.!.cuts half the calories and takes out all the fat and cholesterol! good for breakfast esp!. when you add veggies to make an outstanding omlette!)
tofu

and good carbs!
100% whole grain/whole wheat bread
you can even get wraps instead of sandwich bread!.!.!.cuts down on carbs and calories!.!.!.

DRINK PLENTY OF WATER! it keeps your body hydrated and metabolism boosted!

you should eat every 3 hours!.!.!.try 3 meals and 2 snacks
the meals shouldn't be huge!.!.!.
