well i used to be an avid gym member.if he spot trained he could firm up the chest and the secondary muscles.say push ups every day.try three sets of ten or more ,whatever he can do and do it in three reps.so 3 reps of 10.if he was to say bicep curls every day he would develop good biceps,same idea.this will help the triceps(back of the arm), chest,shoulders and some upper back muscles.
diet is the hardest part of weight loss and muscle weight gain.try la weight loss.my wife lost 30 pounds just by changing her diet.
