Stomach Fat?!


Question: Stomach Fat!?
Silly qeustion really but where on your stomach does excess fat reside!. I thought it was between muscle and skin, therefore when overweight you cannot feel your muscle that well!.
Am I right or wrong!?

On myself I can feel the muscle really well and my stomach goes hard when tensing slightly, however I am 4 stone overweight and 40" round the middle!.

Is this normal or do I need to see a doctor!?

Wow 40" around the middle thats not good! You seriously need to do something about this before it gets out of hand or even worse, before it affects your health in more extreme ways!.
If you are really concerned you should see your doctor, otherwise all you need to do is eat healthily and exercise, but don't over do it, you should ease into the exercise building it up gradually!. The diet should consist of the recommended three meals a day, consisting of breakfast, lunch and dinner!. If you have to snack in between keep it healthy, also avoid eating anything two hours before bed, otherwise your body will struggle to burn off the calories, not to mention how bad it is for you!. To benefit fully you need to cut down or cut out completely on sugar, caffeine and alcohol as these will all resrtict how much vitamins and minerals your body is able to take in!. You should stick to water as this will help to keep your body flushed of toxins, also this will benefit your diet more!. You should increase your intake of fruits and vegetables as these hold vital nutrients that your body needs in order to function properly!.

Sorry I don't have any advice on the stomach fat, but at least I have helped with your eating and what to do next!. The difficult bit comes when you have to try to stick to it, and keep the diet going no matter how much temptation is in your way!. Do you have a beer belly!? If you do, then whatever "tense" matter you feel around your waistline will consist mainly of fat!. If you don't, then what you are feeling on your stomach would be a combination of fat and the rectus abdominis muscles!.

I'm taking anatomy right now, and from what I've witnessed on our group's cadaver, fat can reside pretty much _everywhere_!. Mostly between muscles and skin, but fat can get in between different pieces of muscles!.
A lot of your organs will also have fat (for protective purposes)!. For example, your eye has lots of fat particles!.

As for you being overweight, speak to your doctor about wanting to get your weight down at least to the normal BMI levels!. By staying overweight, your risks for developing cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and many other diseases will only increase exponentially!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

same sort of thing as me, i always get well defined muscles when i go to the gym, then i stop when im happy with my body, then 1 day i look in the mirror and dear god, where did all that come from!?!!?!!?!!? i get fat above the muscle and when tensed i still look buff but when caught off gaurd can look pregnant!! lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

you can have firm muscles and still be overweight!. it's logical you can feel your muscles under the layer of fat when you tense up!. no need for a doctor except to get a handle on the eating habits!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
