Well, it is definitely possible to eat nothing but vegetables and be healthy, but even vegetarians have strategies to maximize the amount of essential nutrients your body needs!.

There are risk associated with no taking in enough calories!. If you take in too few, your body will start to cannibalize your muscles (rather than your fat) for energy, and you will still have body fat, but then no muscles!. Additionally, if you don't take in enough calories your body is more prone to store the calories you do ingest as fat (because fat insulates your body and is essential to life)!.

Counting calories is a pain, but usually a necessary one!. It is really difficult to know exactly what you should be eating if you don't have anything to reference!. To use a bad analogy, you wouldn't go shopping without knowing how much money you had and how much things cost first would you!?

I found that you can create a daily diet with a set amount of things you are going to eat (I keep my breakfast, lunch, and snack the same every day, and only vary what I eat for dinner) you only have to count those calories once (I know exactly how many calories those three meals consist of, and will never have to count them again, unless I change the meal up, which is unlikely to happen), and then the only calorie counting you are doing on a regular basis is for dinner (which you could plan out a week a head of time so you only do calorie counting one day/week)Www@Answer-Health@Com
