When dieting: what does it mean to lose water weight? will i gain that weight !

Question:

When dieting: what does it mean to lose water weight? will i gain that weight back simply by drinking water?

should i drink less water to avoid gaining the water weight back? i want to lose 20 pounds. will i lose the water weight first and then the fat weight? i i just diet (watch what i eat and eat only 1200 calories per day) without exercise, will i be able to lose the 20 pounds? will it just take longer? Also: if i lose only water weight: will i then look flabby and have skin rolls all over? My main concern is about the water weight and what it means?

Answers:

That is just a term used to explain about breaking a good sweat. When you first begin exercising you may or may not experience a drastic weight lose because your body is going into shock from the change.

However water is your friend. If you stop drinking water or decrease the amount of water that you drink your body will begin retaining water because your body needs to maintain an equilibrium of the amount of water that it holds onto, which means that you may gain weight and that is the other side of water weight.

The water weight is not something that you need to stress about. Water flushes all of the toxins out of your body. When you exercise the fat cells in your body dehydrate and exit your body in your sweat and urine. This is another reason why it is important for you to drink water.

I don't know what you weight is but dieting alone may not give you the results that you are looking for. Dieting initially may give you a few results, but sooner or later your body will stop losing weight and again begin to start making due with the amount of calories in your system and the weight loss will stop.

This becomes discouraging and it is one of the reasons many people go off of the diets. And when they do again the body goes into shock from dealing with just a few calories and the slightest increase in caloric intake causes people to gain back all of that weight which they lost and sometimes gain a bit more.

I personally don't believe in dieting in the way that many people think of the term. Your diet is what you eat everyday. If you just change your diet and decrease the amount of some of the junk which you may or may not be eating and eat this way forever than your body will love you back. Make sure That you always have a very good breakfast. Each meal that you eat should contain a meat (protein for helping to build muscle), a starch ( rice, potatos, grits, etc.) for added filler and energy, and a vegetable/ fruit ( for energy, fiber, and keeping your colon clean).

The biggest portion on your plate should always be the vegetables/ fruit. Your heaviest meal should be at lunch time. If you know that you aren't going to be doing much in your day don't eat a meal like you have to go plow a field of corn all day by yourself. You know what you are and are not doing.

And some where along the lines you need to fit an exercise regimen into your day. Start taking walks around your neighborhood. Ride a bike for a half hour. If you work in an office building start taking the stairs more instead of the elevator. Begin lifting weights somewhere along the lines for muscle burns a lot of fat and it will burn fats when you are just sitting doing nothing. If you become ambitious enough you can join a gym and work out on the elliptical machine for 30- 60 minutes a day for a real good fat burn. Go at least 3 times a week and in a just a month if you keep everything up you will see a great change.

Don't get caught up in the amount of weight that you are or are not losing. And if you keep increasing you work-out you won't plateau. Which means your body won't stop losing the weight you are trying to lose.

Just live healthy and see your doctor to verify that what you are doing, whatever it is, is safe.
